What does modern man lack? What is missing in modern education?

I'm not only a columnist" Russian newspaper", I am also a reader. And last week I read an interview with the new Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Olga Vasilyeva. So far, the minister has just begun her duties, and we can evaluate not so much activities as intentions. And also openness. To me It seems very important that the Minister of Education speaks openly about the problems facing the school.There are many problems.

In all my books and lectures, when I talk about the problems of education, I always turn to parents. First of all, because I am convinced that it is the parents who are primarily responsible for ensuring that the child grows up educated, smart, and finally happy. The story that we will send our child to school, and she will raise him, does not work according to various reasons. Therefore, as soon as interest in school grows again in society, I immediately want to involve moms and dads in the conversation.

Many parents sigh: “Well, we don’t have time for children.” Honestly, I don’t understand these sighs. Why do many parents sincerely think that even growing a tomato or potato in the dacha takes time, but the child seems to grow up on his own?

I advise some dads: write down such a daily activity in your organizer: communication with your son (or daughter). Some people think that if I do all my work, then the child will get around to it. They don’t make it... So maybe you can organize yourself better? Do whatever you want, but find it. On their own, without attention, only weeds grow. Do you realize that when you don’t spend any time or effort on your child, he grows up to be a weed?

What is missing most? to the modern schoolchild? Human attitude

What does a modern schoolchild lack most? In my opinion, human relationship. Please note: almost all changes in school occur without taking into account the opinions of students. It's a paradoxical situation, isn't it? Adults decide for children what will be best for them.

Not only in Russia, but also in many countries of the world, the philosophy has become stronger that a child is not a person, but a certain creature that will later become a person. Meanwhile, children are people. They are not preparing for life, but they are already living. Here and now they suffer, rejoice, are indignant, tormented...

When parents scold a person for getting a bad grade, he suffers no less than, say, his dad, who is scolded by his boss. But for some reason, childhood experiences seem frivolous to us. Although sometimes they have a decisive influence on the entire human life.

Parents should see in their child not an object for education, but a living, restless person. This view is the child’s main protection.

Parents who have lost contact with their own children come to me for consultation. Very often I ask them: “Are you familiar with own child? Do you know what problems plague him? Do you know what he is thinking about, what he is worried about? Who is he friends with? What are you interested in?" Unfortunately, parents often have no answer to these questions.

An unpleasant recent trend: more and more often parents are asking the question: “I don’t know what to talk about with my son or daughter.” Can you imagine? How can this be? It’s easy if you don’t see a person in your son or daughter, you don’t see the personality. It is impossible to communicate with an object for education, but, on the contrary, it is impossible not to communicate with a person.

It is impossible to communicate with the object for education. On the contrary, it is impossible not to communicate with a person

For example, parents are afraid to tell their children about their problems. But how will the child know that he needs to share his questions with loved ones if his loved ones do not?

Today we are talking again about the need for career guidance in school. Very correct. But in the situation that exists now, it is the parents who must help the child find his calling.

What is a calling? This is a desire, an incredible desire to do something. Here main criterion. Not money that will potentially be earned, but desire. And it is the parents who must help the child see it.

The great teacher of the past, Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, came up with his own method of education and training, which he called the “method of conformity with nature.” He believed that a child should be taught something other than what seems important to us adults. And what his soul is about. The task is to discern this and develop it. And then comes - I’m not afraid of this word - happiness.

A child who has found a calling is fundamentally different from one who failed to do so. For example, he doesn’t face the notorious problem of tearing himself away from the computer - he simply doesn’t have time, he’s busy doing what he loves. He respects himself because he is in business. He is interested in life.

By the way, Pestalozzi believed that a person should find a calling - attention! - at five to seven years old. OK then. At ten. At twelve. But not at sixteen, when a schoolchild and his parents choose not a vocation, but a university. Are parents aware that if a child, when graduating from school, does not know what to do, he grows up to be an unhappy person? And does the fact that there are many such people around justify the fact that our particular child will not be happy?

Ask yourself a simple question: do you often focus on your own child? Do you think about him? Are you wasting your time on it? There is no one who can check your answer. Except for the child himself. How he grows up will be the answer to these most important questions.

Modern man has a huge number of needs. A person’s health determines how easily and quickly he can satisfy these needs. Good health allows you to work effectively, earn money, maintain relationships with colleagues, friends and loved ones. Lack of health turns a person's life into misery.

There are a huge number of misconceptions about how to stay healthy and how to improve your health. Although it would seem that the most important question there must be a clear and precise answer.
Where do misconceptions come from? I will write on this topic another time. Now about the main secret of health.

The main secret is that the human body is capable of self-healing.

How to start the recovery mechanism? Here is a video recording of Leonid Blum's lecture, where he shares his experience of treating disabled people and athletes with severe injuries. One of the main ideas of his approach to treatment is to launch the body’s self-healing by eliminating its energy losses.

The lecture is seven hours long, of course I would like to have short summary, but there is no outline. For the first four hours, Leonid talks about how self-healing mechanisms are launched. Why is it important to remember tendons when training muscles? How is human energy spent? How to reduce energy losses. Provides slides and real-life examples. In short, a lot of things.

At the end there are conclusions and answers to questions. Here are some interesting points.

To restore health, it is stupid to follow the example of athletes, just as it is stupid to use the example of Qatari sheikhs to make money. You don't see the whole picture. Qatari sheikhs are rich not because they drill oil wells and produce oil, but because they drill and produce in Qatar, and not in the Kara Sea.

The athlete is healthy and strong, but for this it is not enough to work hard, you also need to have high level metabolism and the ability to quickly recover after exercise.

5:46:42
Adipose tissue is the most valuable thing you have. Maintaining balance with the help of muscles requires energy for the body. Fat is useless in terms of motor function. But, from the point of view of the support-inhibitory function, adipose tissue is the most effective. Fat takes on the load and prevents injury.

5:52:00
The easiest way to improve and maintain health is to reduce the body's energy loss.

Conclusion from Blum's lecture: Self-healing requires energy, which modern man so lacks. This is the cause of most chronic diseases. Energy for self-healing can be obtained by learning to rest. Rest involves minimizing physical, visual and mental activity. Perfect option- this is silent peace, without TV, without computer and without telephone.

What does modern man lack in nutrition?

and what are the reasons?
Epidemiological studies in various countries of the world revealed:

reduction in human energy consumption (in the middle of the last century - 3000-3500 kcal/day, currently - 1900-2100 kcal/day), which led to a decrease in the need for food, and, accordingly, with less food we get less biologically active substances, necessary for the body;

changes in the structure of people's diet (insufficient consumption of fruits, vegetables, greens, preference for fast food, monotonous diet, consumption large quantity processed and canned food, dietary violations);

changes in the quality of food products (depletion of soils, long-term transportation and storage, changes in processing technology, the use of canning, refining, etc.), that is, food products have become “poorer” in terms of the presence of biologically active substances in them.

According to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia, an excessive level of fat consumption and insufficient consumption of complete proteins, polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6), vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and biologically active food components. Especially acute problem is a deficiency of a number of vitamins.
Vitamin deficiency among Russian residents, insufficient consumption

Vitamin C 60-70%

Folic acid 70-80%

Iron 20-40%

Calcium 40-60%

What are the dangers of not having a balanced diet?

A balanced diet is a diet that provides the body with the energy and nutrients it needs in the right proportions:

sufficient calories and nutrients;

physiological balance of various nutrients.
Lack of a balanced diet leads to a number of disorders:

deterioration of metabolism in the body;

deterioration of the functioning of individual organs and systems;

the appearance of clinically significant symptoms (or signs) of a dietary disorder.

As a result, a person develops a disease.

The most common diseases:

atherosclerosis

hypertonic disease

hyperlipidemia

obesity

diabetes

osteoporosis

gout
According to the World Health Organization in Russian Federation the leading risk factors for death and morbidity are high arterial pressure, high cholesterol, smoking and alcohol.

Over the past 8-9 years, the prevalence of obesity has increased from 19 to 23%, increasing the risk of developing diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and other dangerous diseases.

"It used to be better". Nothing like this: before there was no Internet and children had to wander around the yards in vain. Now that human logic has matured and its voice has long since broken, we began to understand that in order to live fully, a person only needs to have access to the Internet, which does not stand still, but is constantly being improved according to our requests. But there are still things that are missing in virtual space, and we are going to talk about them in this article.

All-seeing eye

Perhaps what the Internet lacks most is satellite surveillance of people. There is no program where you can enter a person’s passport data and monitor him online.

Our civilization, from Plato to Pakhom, is based on the cult of personality, the thirst for gossip, intrigue and relationships. We love more than anything else to read our friends’ correspondence, rummage through dirty laundry, ask jealous questions and follow people, so in the near future it will be satellite surveillance that will replace social media and will take human vices to a whole new level.

Forced collectivism

We live in a truly terrible time for the Internet - it has become a continuous spawning of idiots and perverts who spawn poisoned eggs in every comment, every message. It's time to bury the nonhumans and introduce the generator test tasks when registering on social networks and a smart virus that would ban perverts for life based on certain criteria.

Perhaps it is worth creating a separate network or virtual pens for schoolchildren and people with sexual deviations, forming some kind of virtual collectivism so that pubescent superhumans with cancer self-esteem communicated with their own kind, and perverts freely discussed the consequences of childhood trauma in a confined space.

Digital Sorge

Based on the experience of recent major terrorist attacks, militants coordinate their actions and communicate not through Cell phones or the fragile radio waves of Popov and Marconi, but through social networks. The Internet, like a person, needs to be able to listen, examine one’s “I” in order to recognize the quiet, polyphonic message that is sent with the aim of harming society.

This applies not only to terrorists, but to any threats. For example, if the program automatically sent Matvey’s message “I would cut your throat” to law enforcement agencies, then probably Karina Zalesova would not have been found stabbed to death. The Internet should instill fear in people, become the sticky tentacles of the law and the main filter for the distillation of society, and not just another subject for Bosch’s paintings.

Virtual family

Of course, you can create a program to enhance a person’s extrasensory abilities or a helmet for virtual sex that would be no different from the real thing, but it’s still better to develop a simulation of parents for orphans and children from single-parent families. Such technology would show the ideal of a man or woman, instill this ideal in the consciousness of the younger generation and mobilize strength in difficult moments. That is why it is worth creating such a simulation so that, when mature, a full-fledged personality never interested psychic abilities and virtual sex.

No matter how boring, monotonous and banal our life may be, it will never cause as much agony as the endless emptiness that the absence of parents creates. Therefore, the true progress of humanity will not be quantum leap, but an opportunity to give children to embrace the immensity and fall in love with the virtually authentic.

Virtual diagnostics

The only thing worse than terrorism is the plague, cholera or anthrax. Today we are subject to the cult of purity: unwashed fruits are more frightening than the threat of world war, and people still continue to die en masse and often, as in the unsanitary 16th century. .

We will all die, but in a sterile future we will be able to independently carry out a complete diagnosis of the body through a PC and, with ready-made tests, place soft, melted skin under the surgeon’s scalpel. This will not only prolong short life person, but will also save time and shaky nerves of doctors.

There is no longer any need to turn and change reality, society does not need knights in armor or revolutionaries with currency in their pants - just start changing virtual world and our lives will begin to change in parallel.

Everyone praises domestic system education of the last century for the fact that it gave a comprehensive picture of the world. And not everyone can understand the difference between “then” and “now”. There have always been mediocre teachers, of course, but the principle of education forced us to think and understand cause-and-effect relationships. Nowadays in lessons they simply say facts: “if you drop an object, it will fall.” But they do not explain that gravity exists. This is figurative, of course, but the gist is something like this. And then from every corner you can hear how stupid the children are. It's not that they are stupid, that's just how they are taught.

Only when I got acquainted with such subjects as “logic” and “philosophy” at the university did I understand that this is not “talk about life”, but complex sciences. And then I finally understood why I had been studying mathematics for so many years as a humanities major. It teaches you to think logically and compare 2+2 not only in literally, but also in everyday life. But teachers always say: “mathematics is the queen of sciences, it teaches logic.” This is an axiom in their mouths, but children always need proof, otherwise they simply won’t believe it.

Now in schools they are trying to introduce not just religion lessons, but also Orthodoxy itself. The history of religion teaches us how moral standards and law arose and from what they arose. Initially the person was afraid higher powers, then punishment and disapproval from the people around you. Understanding history, you understand cause-and-effect relationships. As Dostoevsky said in The Brothers Karamazov: “I want to be here when everyone suddenly finds out why everything happened this way.” So Hegel was wrong. speaking about the unscientific nature of history.

So, ideally, the history of religion is good, but the imposition of faith is certainly bad. Firstly, it is a personal matter for everyone, which faith to choose and whether to choose at all. Secondly, unconditional faith deprives a person critical thinking. The same result is achieved by not understanding cause-and-effect relationships, which gives comprehensive education. In other words, you need to know literature, history, mathematics and geography, otherwise it will be impossible to draw your own conclusions, since what you have in your head is not a worldview, but a set of fragmentary knowledge.

Therefore, I do not like Western education, where schoolchildren are allowed to choose the disciplines that they want to study at school. Children only think that they are able to set priorities for themselves. When they realize they were wrong it will be too late. Provided they can understand it at all. Modern Russian education is an explosive mixture of Soviet education and western. They took a piece from themselves, borrowed a piece and made a system that produces cognitive Frankensteins. We read prayers before studying Darwin’s theory, and we finish our bachelor’s and master’s degrees without using any of the principles of the Bologna system.

Let's say a child loves chemistry and hates Russian language and literature. Everyone should be able to write competently, otherwise it’s just a shame. Literature also teaches us to think, analyze, feel, know and remember. Russian literature helps to understand that very “Russian soul”; it is a kind of solid Jungian archetype. So, it is impossible not to study these subjects, but there is no need to force them. If a student doesn't want to read" Quiet Don“(well, he’s not interested in the Cossacks), you can slip in the same Bulgakov. Teenagers love mysticism. This should be perceived as an elective, and not as a categorical “MUST”. The teacher here should subtly understand this and try to interest him.

But with chemistry, which will then possibly feed a person, on the contrary, you need to push harder. Send it to a specialized class, for example. We have a division "A" - computer science, "B" - physics and mathematics, "C" - humanities, etc. And it’s not for nothing that it exists in high school, when desires and interests no longer change once a week, but are more or less formed.

Even better, in my opinion, are classes with a more specific focus, although such a practice is still almost not widespread in our country. For example, in Tuapse gymnasium No. 1 there is a “Rosneft class”. There in-depth study several disciplines required to work in oil industry. That is, chemistry, physics, and economics. But at the same time, children immediately understand why they need all this: they will be able to enter a promising specialty and find Good work after university. They understand that studying will really help them get settled in life. And this gives an understanding of precisely that very cause-and-effect relationship.

Moreover, a fairly common problem is when yesterday’s schoolchildren enter a university and a year later they realize that they do not like this specialty. But they are afraid to quit, they endure it and, in the end, do not know what to do with their diploma. And so, having decided that the oil industry - promising specialty with whom you want to connect your life, you can painlessly check whether it will really be interesting by studying in such a class. Moreover, in the same Tuapse, changes have been introduced this year. Now psychologists will work with children during the holidays to help teenagers understand themselves and their desires during a difficult period for them.

Such support is exactly what the modern Russian education, In my opinion. What would you change first?
