Zlatoust Trade and Economic College is widely known in the Urals, Siberia and Bashkiria. Over its 65-year history, the college has graduated more than 35 thousand specialists for trade, public catering and economics.

1945 A difficult war has just ended, the country is beginning to restore its destroyed economy. By order of the People's Commissariat of Trade of the USSR dated October 15, 1945 No. 132, the Zlatoust College of Soviet Trade was created. At first, the technical school was located in the building of primary school No. 4. There were only three classrooms without furniture, windows with broken glass. For another 13 years, the technical school has been renting 5 classrooms on the first floor of school No. 10 at st. Bolshaya Vetluga, 127. An orphanage was located in the same building.

The director of the technical school was V.I. Tukmachev, head teacher Pyotr Aleksandrovich Ozornin, military instructor Anatoly Fedorovich Vasiliev, teacher of Russian language and literature Romashev K.D., geography teacher Brusnik Roman Ivanovich, mathematics teacher Gladkikh Kharitina Grigorievna, German language teacher Vanda Ivanovna Baum, teacher history Ambrasevich Fadey Frantsevich, chemistry teacher Evdokia Ivanovna Karataeva.

The first set of students is 173 people: 3 groups of food commodity experts and 2 groups of accountants. Among the students are not only yesterday's schoolchildren, but also demobilized military personnel. We studied in two shifts. There were not enough textbooks and equipment, and there were only bills for 30 people. Education at the technical school was paid - 75 rubles. For half a year. The administration and teachers strictly monitored class attendance and student performance. In October 1946 By order of the director, penalties are imposed on violators of discipline. Order No. 85 of 10/08/1946 § 3: “For missing one lesson or for being late for unexcused reasons, deduct 1 ruble for each lesson, and for each subsequent 1 ruble. 10 kopecks.”

In April 1947, the student ID card with photo was introduced.

The end of the 40s was the time of the formation of the technical school. The material base is improving. In addition to the two horses that were purchased in Magnitogorsk, the technical school is provided with a truck. Visual aids and educational literature are purchased. During these years, the technical school was headed by Matveev Platon Markovich (from August 1946 to February 1948), Bezrukov Alexander Fedorovich (from February 1948 to August 1950), Musikhin Alexander Ivanovich (from August 1950 to July 1953).

In 1948, the first graduation of specialists trained at the technical school took place. Diplomas are received by 75 food technicians (5 of them with honors) and 44 Soviet trade accountants.

Since 1953, Evgenia Nikolaevna Antonova has taken over the position of director. Under her leadership, the technical school took a big step forward. In 1954, the foundation of a new technical school building was laid. Construction, in which students and teachers took an active part, was completed in 1958. On December 12, 1958, the acceptance certificate of the State Commission was approved and classes were allowed to be held in the educational building of the technical school. Since then, the address of the technical school has remained unchanged: st. Kovshova, 7.

In the year of the 10th anniversary of the technical school (1955), P.N. Kovin, K.D. Romashov, V.R. Romashova, who worked at the technical school since its founding, received gratitude for many years of conscientious work; Surovtsev V.F., Sledova A.F., Lopatina K.I., Lapshina N.T., Potapova S.Yu. - who have worked at the technical school for more than 8 years by this time.

Thanks to the active work of Evgenia Nikolaevna, new specialties are opening at the technical school. Since 1957, the technical school began to train commodity experts in industrial goods, and since 1958, the specialty “food preparation technology” has been opened. The new curricula, which the technical school switched to in 1960, required a combination of theoretical and practical training. Therefore, in addition to practical classes in the new technological laboratory of the technical school, students are required to undergo summer practical training. Students of the technological department practiced this practice at public catering establishments in the cities of Anapa, Sochi, Adler, Gelendzhik, etc.

In addition to the already existing day and evening departments, in 1961 the technical school opened a correspondence department and educational and consulting centers in the cities of Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk. R.I. Yanchenko was appointed head of the correspondence department. In 10 years, Magnitogorsk UKP will become an independent educational institution, and Chelyabinsk UKP in 1999 will receive the status of a branch of the technical school.

The 60s were a time of generational change. In 1963, former front-line soldier and land-poor Boris Mikhailovich Samoilin took over the director’s post. At this time, young teachers come to the technical school, who over the years will form the core of the teaching staff. Among them: Savina (Balitskaya) Emma Aleksandrovna (technology and organization of public catering), Afanasyev Yuri Ivanovich (history and literature), Afanasyeva Rimma Sergeevna (trade organization), Maslov Vasily Timofeevich (physics), Khazhieva Raisa Akhmetovna (mathematics), Redkina Svetlana Anatolyevna (geography), Lapshina Ella Grigorievna (chemistry), Krivolapova Klara Nikolaevna (English), Renzyaev Evgeniy Ivanovich (physical education), Malysheva Galina Prokopyevna (commodity science of industrial goods), Dranitsyna Maria Ivanovna (mathematics), Rogulina Lyubov Stepanovna (literature), Krylosova Lidiya Ivanovna (master of industrial training), Ovladeva Maria Grigorievna (chemistry), Maslova (Filimonova) Svetlana Sergeevna (master of industrial training).

In the 60-70s, the technical school lived a bright, full-blooded life. Teachers attend advanced training courses in Moscow, Leningrad, Kazan and other cities. The educational building has 3 laboratories and 22 classrooms, equipped with the latest equipment and samples of goods necessary for the educational process. Students participate in subject clubs and a scientific and technical society. Komsomol meetings, debates, rallies of excellent students and drummers, competitions “Come on, girls!”, “Come on, guys!”, and classes at the University of Music Education, taught by artists of the Chelyabinsk Philharmonic, are held.

A strong business friendship connected the technical school and the Tominsky state farm. Students of the technical school, based on the results of agricultural work, were repeatedly awarded certificates from the state farm and the city committee of the Komsomol, were included on the regional Board of Honor, and the technical school staff was awarded a prize of 500 rubles. Student construction teams work in the Krasnodar region and Moldova.

The sports life of the technical school does not subside. Under the guidance of the most experienced teacher, long-term head of physical education for students, P.S. Zubov, students win prizes in sports competitions not only at the city and regional scale, but also at the all-Union level.

Over the years 70-80, the technical school trained more than 8.5 thousand specialists, 335 of them received diplomas with honors. 1978 was a record year for the college, when 577 students received diplomas.

In 1977, Boris Mikhailovich Samoilin was replaced as director by Lidiya Ivanovna Krylosova. A graduate of ZTST, Lidia Ivanovna returned here in 1966 as a master of industrial training. For ten years she climbed the career ladder to the position of director, during which time she graduated from the Institute of Soviet Trade and worked as a manager. practice, head correspondence department. Lidia Ivanovna worked as director of the technical school for 22 years. During this time, fundamental changes took place in the country. The calm and predictable era of Brezhnev's stagnation was replaced by the crisis of the 90s and the rapid development of market relations. And in these difficult years, the technical school, under the leadership of Lydia Ivanovna, not only survived, but actively developed. In the early 90s, responding to the demands of the time, the specialties “Commerce” and “Management” were opened. In 1991, the Mayak store became a branch of the technical school and the main base of industrial practice for the next 20 years.

A delegation of representatives of the polytechnic from Heihe (PRC) visited the ZTST in 1992, for both parties it was a useful exchange of work experience. In addition, our teachers became acquainted with progressive teaching methods not only in China, but also in Italy, Finland, and Turkey.

In 1993 - 1996, the technical school changed its name twice, first to “Zlatoust Trade and Commercial College”, and from 1996 to the present day “Zlatoust Trade and Economic College”.

Since 1994, the technical school has been actively working on the “development of the North.” Branches are opened in Surgut, Nefteyugansk, Nizhnevartovsk, Noyabrsk. Representative offices are opened in Urai and in the cities of the Chelyabinsk region - Bakal and Miass. As part of the development of the concept of lifelong education, the technical school begins to cooperate with higher education institutions. In 1995, a representative office of the Chelyabinsk Institute of the Russian State Trade and Economic University was opened on the basis of the technical school, and a few years later a representative office of the Kemerovo Technological Institute of the Food Industry appeared.

In 1999, L.I. Krylosova passed the director’s baton to her successor, Honored Trade Worker Svetlana Sergeevna Maslova. Svetlana Sergeevna’s life has been connected with the technical school since 1963, when she entered here to major in merchandising of food products. A year after receiving her diploma, Svetlana Sergeevna returns to the technical school as a master of industrial training in the department of food products merchandising, then studies at the institute and work as a teacher, 20 years of work as deputy director for educational work. Active and energetic, Maslova S.S. For more than 12 years, she confidently led the technical school through the storms and crises of economic reforms.

Since 2012, the technical school has been headed by Alexey Alexandrovich Maslov, candidate of technical sciences, honorary education worker.

Currently, training at the technical school is conducted in 9 specialties, including “Law and organization of social security”, “Insurance business”, “Technology of bread, confectionery and pasta”, which were opened already in the 21st century. The material base of the technical school is being improved, innovative technologies are being introduced into the educational process. On the basis of the technical school in 2008, a regional experimental site was opened “Implementation of the model of continuous multi-level vocational education (NPO - SPO - VPO) in the conditions of social partnership of the educational institution,” which is headed by the head of the methodological center of the technical school, former director Krylosova L.I.
