However Dax in the crook of his arm, as Krin suddenly noticed, he suddenly straightened up, and the hair on his back stood on end.

Now, with this influx of nobles and knights, there was a shortage of housing and food, and the Prince hurried his troops to Gascony, in Dax to take some people away from the crowded capital.

Euronat Hotel 4* nudist resort

In the southwest of France, in its largest department, the Gironde, on a cape formed by the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, among the vast pine forest of the Silver Coast (Cote d'Argent), about 80 kilometers northwest of Bordeaux is located " city of the sun" of French naturists - Euronat. Its vast territory occupies 335 hectares of pine forest between the DN102 highway and the endless dunes of the coastal strip. This part of the Bay of Biscay is washed by a branch of the Gulf Stream, which ensures a mild climate in this region of France - Aquitaine.

Euronat Hotel was opened in 1976 and since then has an established reputation as the most tranquil family resort for naturists, where you can touch nature with your whole body and soul without fear of being misunderstood by others. Unlike its southern resort counterparts, naturism is required throughout the entire territory, weather permitting. A stand in the central square tells about this, as well as other rules of the resort.

The residential area is divided into five “villages”: Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America, is located away from the ocean among pine trees and is very reminiscent of Soviet-era state dachas: the houses are scattered throughout the forest at a distance from each other, and each of them is connected paved path. All housing in Euronate is built from environmentally friendly material - wood, and is designed to accommodate families and companies from two to six people. Depending on the type, it can be a panel house, accommodating up to three people, or a log cottage for six, but they have one thing in common: they are all fully equipped for autonomous living and outdoor recreation. Each room is equipped with amenities, a kitchen with everything necessary for self-cooking (refrigerator, electric stove with oven, coffee maker) and eating it in the open air (set of tableware, garden furniture on the terrace). Fortunately, food and semi-finished products can be purchased right there: in the central square, in addition to three supermarkets, there is also a deli (take-away French style), four restaurants, a butcher shop, a fish shop, a wine and vodka store, a snack bar and a bakery and pastry shop with amazing fresh baked goods. In addition to the above, on the central square there is a bank branch, a boutique, a sports store, bicycle rental, a bookstore, an entertainment complex with slot machines and billiards, a laundry and payphone booths.

Euronat is one of the few nudist centers with an indoor pool: its two baths 25x15m and 5x15 (for children) are never empty - the weather on the Atlantic is changeable, and you can’t really swim in the ocean wave as a sport.
And, perhaps, only in Euronate you can improve your health in the thalassotherapy center, where, in addition to the actual hydrotherapeutic procedures (sea water hydromassage, jacuzzi with seaweed extract, mud therapy, thalassotherapy, Charcot shower), you can relax in the sauna, take a wellness massage, and fix your sea tan in the solarium in cloudy weather, do therapeutic exercises or aerobics under the guidance of a medical instructor. With the direction of a local doctor, you can take an individual course of the “Figure and Nature (nature)” treatment package.

In addition to the pool, you can improve your health on tennis courts (clay and synthetic), volleyball, football and mini-golf courts; in the end, you can just play table tennis or shoot archery at a special shooting range. Horse riding deserves special mention: there is a riding school on the territory, where everyone is accepted, from young (for them - ponies) to old with any level of training. At the same time, you will be fully equipped in the appropriate way: helmet, leggings, stack. Beginners first train in the arena, and as they develop skills, they join the “advanced”, traveling along long forest and beach routes.

Euronat owns two and a half kilometers of almost endless sandy beach, stretching from Pointe de Grave to Cap Ferret (in addition, you can nudity along the entire coastal strip reserved for nudist recreation, right up to the town of Montalivier - the pioneer of nudist recreation in Aquitaine). Officially, the beach is divided into two parts: where you can take dogs with you, and where dogs are prohibited. Otherwise, everything is the same: the same fine weightless sand, the same width (approx. 60m), the same amenities (showers and WC), snack bars. From Trinity to the end of September, lifeguards are on duty on the beach.
From time to time, meter-long waves appear on the Atlantic, which turn the beach into a paradise for surfers - at this time it seems that the entire “local” population has switched to boards. Thanks to the sloping shore, the ocean on the beach is shallow and warms up well, so children do not risk hypothermia while floundering in the shallow water.
To the right of the main entrance to the beach, pillboxes from the Second World War have been preserved. Several of them, washed away by the ocean, fell from the high shore onto the beach, forming fantastic concrete sculptures.
Since the beach is 0.5 - 1.5 kilometers away from residential areas, almost everyone gets there by bicycle, which is provided free of charge for Type 3. The bicycles are, however, of an old type, but in good condition. And modern models can be rented, as well as locking security devices for them: it’s exciting to leave your bike in numerous bike racks without a lock.

There are no organized excursions here, but if you have a car, it will not be difficult to visit places familiar from childhood from the books of A. Dumas: La Rochelle, the island of Re, the fortress of Saint-Martin... This is to the north of Euronate, and to the south is the famous lagoon Arcachon, in the vicinity of which there is a unique natural phenomenon - the world's largest dune Pyla (t) with a height of 147 m. The road to it from Euronate will take no more than an hour and a half. Half an hour's drive to the southeast is the famous Medoc wine region. For lovers of French wines, even road signs will tell you a lot: Pessac-Leognan, Saint-Estèphe and Saint-Julien, Margaux and Pauillac... This is where the famous Bordeaux wines of Chateau Margaux and Chateau Lafite-Rothschild are produced. By signing up in advance for an excursion to the cellars of these farms, you can follow the entire technological process of making the famous wine, take a souvenir photo in the collection vaults and buy one or two bottles in the estate shop for symbolic (compared to Moscow and Paris) money.

Those who are interested in stronger drinks simply must visit the town of Cognac with the ancient cellars of Otard, take a tour of the production facilities of Camus, Hennessy and Martel, and look into the Cognac Museum...

And of course - Bordeaux - the capital of Aquitaine-Gironde (Girond Lande) with its ancient shopping center, which owes its prosperity to the famous Bordeaux wines (red and white), with a beautiful bridge over the Garonne, spacious squares, ancient churches, museums and theaters.
