Stargate building.

This mod gives some technology based loosely on the Stargate SG-1 universe.

Star Gates

How stargate works is not known in detail, but it appears to create spacetime wormhole combining them with each other stargate remote place. Once the wormhole is established, a person can take one step into the stargate and be redirected to another.

The Stargate network is similar in some respects to the telephone network. Each stargate has an address, and you establish a connection by typing the address of the stargate you want to connect to.

Stargate Components

A Stargate built from components that can be found in various places in the world. Sometimes you will find stargate components in chests in dungeons and other structures, and sometimes you may even come across a complete stargate. Some components may also be found, but not all. In particular, the design of the crystals that formed the basis of some of the key stargate components is beyond our ability to replicate; they can only be found in the world or purchased from a Tok"ra villager.

Tok"ra Villagers

The Tok"ra are the same species as the Goa'uld, but they have completely different cultures. They only take willing owners, and are usually friendly and helpful. They have extensive knowledge of Goa'uld technology, and will be very happy to sell you the crystals you need to build those elusive stargate components.

stargate building

To create a stargate, you must build 5 h 5 rings consisting of a Stargate Base Block, eight Stargate Ring Blocks and seven Stargate Chevron Blocks, arranged in a patter as shown here. The blue circle on the base block should face the direction you want in front of the stargate; the direction to other blocks does not matter.

After the last block is placed, the blocks, rings, merge together and form a stargate.

Stargate Controller

To use stargate, you will need a Stargate Controller, also known as DHD or Dial Home Device. The controller should be placed on the front of the stargate, 5 blocks lower center of the ring, either on the same level, or one block above or below.

Right clicking the controller will bring up a GUI for entering the stargate address. If the controller is properly connected to the stargate, the center button in the interface will be orange. If it's grey, your controller is too far from the stargate or wrong side.

The address can be entered either by pressing a button on the circular grid or a letter on the keyboard. Backspace or Delete can be used to erase characters. After entering the address completely, press the Enter key or click on the orange button. If the address is valid, the orange button will light up and stargate will begin dialing the address.

Once the stargate is connected, it can be disconnected by pressing the orange button again.

Stargate Addressing

The Stargate address consists of seven characters chosen from an alphabet of 26 characters. For convenience, these characters have been somewhat arbitrarily mapped to letters so that you can type them on your keyboard.

An address encodes dimensions and spatial location within that dimension. The site has a piece-permit level, which means you can only have one usable stargate in each block (16 x 16 area). If you type the address of a block containing more than one stargate, one of them will be randomly associated.

To find out the stargate address, right-click anywhere on the ring. This is temporary, identifying stargate addresses may be more difficult in a future version.

Turning on the Stargate

Before your stargate does anything, it must be supplied with fuel. The Stargate runs on naquadah, a thick mineral of unknown composition that is a very rich source of energy. Naquadah is made from naquadah ore, which is most often found under lava, although it sometimes appears in other places. Due to its very high density, the diamond pickaxe requires my naquadah.

To fuel the stargate, open the GUI by right-clicking anywhere on the stargate ring, not the CPU, and place the naquadah in the fuel slots on the right. The black rectangle is the fuel buffer, which will be automatically replenished as fuel slots are needed.

Establishing a connection requires a fairly large burst of energy, and energy is also used while the connection remains open. If you don't keep the gate open longer than necessary, one piece of naquadah is about 20 trips. If you leave the gate open, it closes automatically after 5 minutes.

Fuel is used only stargate initiates the connection. There is no fuel required to obtain a connection or maintain a received connection.

Future versions may provide alternative paths to power and control the stargate.

Precautionary measures

The opening of the transient stargate event horizon is extremely dangerous. It is recommended to maintain a distance of at least 5 blocks from the front of the stargate to the event horizon, returns to normal.

Violating stargate while the connection is open is not recommended. The event horizon contains a large number potential energy; if the stargate mechanism is broken, then this energy will be explosively released.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! READ BEFORE SUBSCRIBING!

The development of this Addon has been discontinued.

Note that this collection contains +30 individual addons were most of them are +20MB each, therefore make sure to wait until you"ve downloaded every part completely until you start a new game or join a server. If the packages aren"t downloaded completely errors will occur .

After the Garry's Mod APRIP Update and CAP Revision 490, the fonts are now included in the CAP CODE part of the Workshop files! Therefore you do NOT require to manually download and install the FONTS anymore. However this feature might stop functioning in the future and if this will happen, then we might re-enable the font-checker to make sure everything works as expected.

Sidenote: For some Linux Distro users the fonts via Workshop still does not work, so for those they still require to download and install them system-wide manually. These fonts can be downloaded from:

THE STARGATE CARTER PACK

Stargate Carter Pack more commonly known as Carter’s Addon Pack or CAP is an addon for Garry’s mod that adds new content elements to the game, all based off the Stargate franchise from the 1994 film to the late Stargate Universe. Carter’s Addon Pack gives the most impressive array of Stargate elements for Garry’s Mod, allowing much more diversity & variations for Stargate gameplay in Garry’s Mod.

CAP (Carter's Addon Pack) covers many themes and aspects from the Stargate franchise, such as Tauri technology, Lantean technology, Asgard technology and many others, Together with their weapons and devices which often became a threat or even powerful assets to the people of Stargate Command, Atlantis and Destiny.

From piloting starships to building bases, the Stargate Carter Pack provides players with great replayability, creativity and much much more!

To understand exactly how to download and install this package successfully, please visit the download page, which provides complete instructions how to install our Addon correctly:

Do note that if you do not read this you will undoubtedly fail at installing it correctly.

Wiremod IS REQUIRED!!!
- Spacebuild and the Enhancement Pack is REQUIRED FOR ENERGY USAGE.
- This addon does no longer requires the Avons Pack.
- The Group System Addon is merged with CAP therefore it is not required anymore.
- If you do install either of the above mentioned addons then CAP will work incorrectly.
- DO NOT combine the github version with the workshop versions as this will cause conflicts.
- Errors might occur if you have too many addons installed.

Try these steps if something doesn't work BEFORE asking for help.

1. Remove the GMA files from CAP located in the addons folder which in return Garry's Mod can redownload them.
2. Uninstall OR disable all your addons and redownload/install only CAP & Wire
3. Uninstall your whole Garry's Mod (Deleting the whole garry's mod folder located under the COMMON's folder) Then install only CAP and Wire.
4. If it"s still not working then try downloading our addon via our Github Repository to make sure it"s not a problem with the steam workshop version.
5. If all of the above things do not help then please post a thread in the forum.

Description

Greg's SG Craft is a mod for Minecraft 1.12.2/1.10.2, which is a useful mod for those who love new and unusual technologies. A place like a stargate will appear in Minecraft, which will give you the ability to instantly teleport over long distances. They can work either on their own or powered by energy, and controlled by Computercraft or Open Computers.

Star Gates

This is the view vehicle, which was developed by a long-vanished ancient alien civilization. And these gates came with the help of aliens who left them on Earth. The only traces that remain on Earth are Egyptian culture and several mysterious inventions.

Components

The Stargate is built from components that must be found in different parts peace. Sometimes you can find stargate components in dungeon chests and other structures. Some components can be created through crafting, but not all.

Local residents of "Tokra"

The Tokraans have the same species, but they have a completely different culture. They are well received by their owners and are very friendly and helpful. They have extensive knowledge of technology and will be very happy to sell you the crystals needed to create these elusive stellar components.

Creation of the stargate

To create a stargate, you need to build a ring of 5 by 5 blocks, which consists of the main stargate block. Once you line up the blocks in this order, they will merge together and form a stargate.

Controller

To use the stargate, you need a controller, which should be located opposite the front of the stargate.

Right-clicking on the controller will bring up a GUI for entering the star address. If the controller is properly linked to the star rotation, the center button in the GUI will be orange. If it's gray, your controller is too far from the stargate or is not meeting correctly.

The address can be entered either using the buttons on the circular grid or by entering letters on the keyboard. After entering the full address, press the Enter key or click the orange button. If the address is valid, the orange button will light up and the star course will begin dialing the address.

Greg's SG Craft mod contains some technologies based on Stargate SG-1 Universe. The Stargate allows instant travel over long distances or between dimensions. They can be used independently or additionally powered by RK-2 or thermal expansion energy and controlled computers from or open Computers.

Stargate mod review:

Star Gates

How the gate works is not known in detail, but it turns out to create space-time wormholes connecting it to another star gate in a distant location. Once a wormhole is created, a person can step into one Stargate and be instantly transported to another.

The stargate network is similar in some ways to the telephone network. Each stargate has an address, and you establish a connection by typing the address of the stargate you want to connect to.

Stargate Components

The Stargate is built from components that can be found in various places in the world. You will sometimes find Stargate components in chests in dungeons and other structures, and sometimes you may even come across a complete Stargate. Some components can also be created, but not all. Specifically, the chain of crystals that form the heart of some of the key components of the Stargate are beyond our ability to reproduce; they can only be found in the world or acquired by a resident.

current of the villagers

The current Ra are the same species as the Goaulds, but they have completely different cultures. They are just ready to receive hosts, and are generally friendly and helpful. They have extensive knowledge of Goa'uld technology, and will be very happy to sell you the crystals you need to build those elusive gate components.

Building a Stargate

To create a Stargate, you need to build a 5x5 ring consisting of a Stargate base block, eight blocks and seven Stargate Stargate ring Chevron blocks arranged in the pattern shown here. The blue circle on the base block should be facing in the direction you want the opposite of the stargate to be in; the direction to other blocks does not matter.

As soon as last block placed, blocks, rings will merge together and form a Star Gate.

Stargate Controller

To use Stargate, Stargate you will need a controller, also known as a dhd machine or dial on home video device. The controller must be placed at the front of the Stargate, 5 blocks from the center of the lower ring, either one level or one block above or below.

Right-clicking on the controller will bring up a GUI for entering the stargate address. If the controller is properly connected to Stargate, the center button in the GUI will be orange. If it's gray, your controller is too far from the stargate or facing the wrong way.

The address can be entered either by pressing a button on the circular grid or by typing letters on the keyboard. The backspace or Delete keys can be used to delete characters. Once the full address is entered, press the Enter key or click on the orange button. If the address is valid, the orange button will light up and the gate will begin dialing the address.

Once the Stargate connects, it can be disconnected by pressing the orange button again.

Stargate Solution

The Stargate address consists of seven characters chosen from a 26-character alphabet. For convenience, these symbols have been somewhat conventionally mapped to letters, so that you can type them on the keyboard.

The address encodes the size and spatial location within that dimension. This space is a resolution level piece, which means you can only have one usable Stargate in each block (16x16 area). If you type the address of a block containing more than one stargate, one of them will be connected randomly.

To find out the stargate address, right-click anywhere on the ring. This is temporary; figuring out stargate addresses may be more difficult in a future version.

Power Stargate

Before your Stargate will do anything, it must come with fuel. The Stargate is launched on naquadah, a dense mineral of unknown composition that is a very rich source of energy1. Naquadah is obtained from naquadah ore, which is most often found under lava, although it occasionally appears in other places. Thanks to his very high density, Diamond Pickaxe is required for the naquadah mine.

For Stargate fuel, open its GUI by right-clicking anywhere on the stargate ring (not the controller) and place naquadah in the fuel tank on the right. The black rectangle is the fuel buffer, which will be automatically replenished as needed from the fuel slots.

Establishing a connection requires quite a bit of energy, and energy is also used while the connection remains open. If you don't keep the gate open longer than necessary, one piece of naquadah is good for about 20 trips. If you leave the gate open, it will automatically close after 5 minutes.

The fuel is used only by the Stargate initiating the connection. Requires no fuel to obtain a connection or maintain a connection obtained.

Future versions may provide alternative ways how to operate and control the Stargate.

Precautionary measures

Opening the event horizon transition gates is extremely dangerous. It is recommended to maintain a distance of at least 5 blocks from the front of the stargate to the event horizon stabilizes.

Going through the gate while the connection is open is not recommended. The event horizon contains a large amount of potential energy; if the gate mechanism is broken, this energy will be explosively released.
