Sometimes advance ticketing is possible. Thus, in St. Petersburg and surrounding areas (at the training ground of OJSC SZ PPK), registration begins 7 days in advance. In the Moscow region, at many stations at the testing site of JSC TsPPK, registration begins 10 days in advance.

An accompanying person with a disabled person of group 1 or a disabled child can issue a cash-free ticket only at the ticket office upon presentation of a passport. When issuing a ticket, a disabled person must be nearby. Traveling with an accompanying person using a non-cash ticket is only possible when accompanied by a disabled person.

If there is no ticket office or machine at the departure station, the ticket on the train is issued free of charge; in other cases, a fee may be charged. At the training ground of JSC "Central PPK" there is currently no fee for issuing a cash-free train ticket.

Refers to regional benefits. The procedure for providing benefits depends on which constituent entity of the Russian Federation the departure station belongs to, as well as on the travel route.

The benefit is provided to students and pupils of general education institutions over 7 years of age (from 5 years to the age of 7, a child ticket is issued), full-time students of educational institutions of primary vocational, secondary vocational and higher vocational education.

In the Pskov region, the benefit is valid until June 30 inclusive (and not until June 15, as in other regions).

In the Tver, Novgorod and Vologda regions, on the trains of JSC Aeroexpress and JSC Interregional PPK, as well as on fast commuter trains in some regions, the benefit is not provided for schoolchildren and students.

Free legal advice:

In some regions, the benefit is provided regardless of the place of residence, place of study of students, or route. In some regions, the presence (absence) of benefits depends on these factors.

Thus, in Moscow and the region, benefits are provided to all Russian full-time students. On the territory of the Republic of Crimea, the benefit is provided only to students of Crimean universities.

Reduced travel is issued on the basis of student certificates and student cards (student tickets) for full-time education on the day of the trip.

In some regions, it is possible to pre-register a discounted ticket. For example, in the Leningrad region (5 days).

It is also possible to issue a ticket for the “Student Social Card” or “Student Social Card” (for the Moscow region). In Moscow and the Moscow region, the benefit is provided regardless of the place of residence of the student (pupil) and the location of the educational institution from the station (stop) where the ticket is purchased to any station (stop) to which there is a direct connection. In some cases, it is possible to issue tickets for transfer routes.

Free legal advice:

When issuing a ticket within the city of Moscow, a discount on one-time round-trip and round-trip tickets is provided for all commuter trains, with the exception of express trains with assigned seats (highlighted on the website in green) and Aeroexpress trains. When issuing a ticket in the Moscow region, the benefit is provided only for commuter trains numbered 6000 (i.e., for regular electric trains).

It is also possible for students to obtain a daily monthly subscription with a 50% discount to or from a station located in Moscow. Registration is carried out on a Muscovite social card for a student, and in its absence - on an individual plastic card (IPC).

As of the beginning of 2015, the issuance of certain types of season tickets with a 50% discount for students is also possible in such subjects as St. Petersburg, Tula, Bryansk, Kursk, Pskov, Yaroslavl, Ivanovo regions.

If the social card is being processed, the ticket is issued upon presentation of a passport, a document confirming the benefit, and a certificate stating that the card is being processed (valid for 30 days from the date of issue).

Ticketing is possible from (to) stations from which there is a direct connection to Moscow. In some cases, it is possible to issue cash-free tickets for transfer routes.

The discount is valid on trains of all categories. When purchasing a ticket for interregional express trains and Aeroexpress trains, you must also present an identification document. Since the end of July 2014, on the routes of JSC TSPPK, issuing non-cash tickets for labor veterans is possible not only on the day of the trip, but also in advance (up to 10 days).

Residents of Moscow also have the right to issue cash-free tickets:

  • home front workers;
  • children from large families under the age of 16, as well as students in educational institutions implementing general education programs up to 18 years of age;
  • orphans and children left without parental care (staying in state and non-state institutions of the city of Moscow for orphans and children left without parental care, students of state educational institutions of the city of Moscow).

Pensioners who do not belong to any of the above categories and are not federal beneficiaries pay 100% of the ticket price, with the exception of travel in the Vladimir region on weekends in the summer (from May 1 to September 30, 2015, on weekends there is a benefit of 40 % in the Vladimir region for old-age pensioners, regardless of place of residence and regardless of where the ticket was purchased).

Train pass for students for a month

The 2017 student travel card can provide significant assistance to any person interested in saving their money. This document is a special student transport card, the number of trips on which is not limited.

Free legal advice:

The document is valid for 5 years. Naturally, any student who wants to save on travel has a justified interest - how much does a student travel card cost?

The cost of this type of service is 3500 rubles. If you have a student pass, you will have a convenient opportunity for free travel on almost all types of public transport in Moscow, be it the metro, bus, trolleybus, tram or electric train. With this card you save more during its validity period.

Applying for a travel pass is quite simple and will not take much of your time. To do this you need:

1. Fill out a form at the MCF branch

2.Submit 2 photos in digital format, taken on a light background

Free legal advice:

3. Provide a photocopy of your passport, which is necessary to include you in the database of your educational institution.

Prepayment is 500 rubles. After meeting all these conditions, you will be able to pay the remaining 3,000 rubles within 10 days and buy a student pass.

For students living in the suburbs or on the outskirts of the capital, we recommend purchasing a single metro ticket, the price of which is also quite low and depends on the tariff you choose. There are several types of such tickets:

A. Disposable (valid for one trip, its price is 55 rubles)

b. Discount Troika card (the price of one trip is 35 rubles)

Free legal advice:

V. Unlimited travel cards of the Unified tariff (these tickets are beneficial for those passengers who travel by metro more than 3 times a day. The train price ranges from 210 rubles per day and 2000 rubles per month of use)

Based on the above, you should pay special attention to the fact that the price of a metro ticket in Moscow depends on how often you plan to use this type of public transport. Tickets of this type are especially beneficial only for those who are forced to travel outside the metro 4-5 times a day.

Past the cash register

From mid-February, a new discounted train ticket will be introduced for students. It is convenient for those who constantly travel to Moscow and back. Now all beneficiaries, including students, have to stand in line at the ticket office every day to buy a one-time discount ticket. In February, full-time students of universities and colleges will be able to sign up for a discounted subscription and ski for a whole month without worries. The number of trips is not limited. True, only along one chosen route.

As the official representative of the Central Suburban Passenger Company (CSPC) Ilya Chernyaev told RG, in order to get the opportunity for unlimited discounted travel, you need to issue an individual plastic card (IPC) for a student. This can be done at any suburban ticket office.

Free legal advice:

To do this, you will need a personal statement, photo, passport, student ID and a certificate from the university. The cost of manufacturing the “plastic” itself is 80 rubles. When the map is ready, all you have to do is name the route (within Moscow) and pay 50% of the monthly subscription. If, for example, to Ramenskoye it costs 2,900 rubles, then with a card it will cost 1,450. Those students who have a Muscovite social card will be able to use it to apply for a discounted subscription, also at suburban railway ticket offices. You must keep the payment receipt. When passing through the turnstile, card holders (both social and individual) will simply apply the “plastic” to the turnstile.

The validity of the card is limited to one paid route. It won't work on others. In addition, the next passage through the turnstile is possible only after 40 minutes - so you can’t take the “hare” with you. And one more limitation - the discounted subscriptions do not apply to satellite electric trains, express trains and Aeroexpress trains, where tickets with seats are provided.

According to Chernyaev, the exact date for the introduction of the new student travel card has not yet been determined - it is still being tested. This will approximately happen in mid-February.

How to apply for a student transport card (including submitting an application electronically) - see on the special website: naelektrelichku.rf.

Tariff zones

There are 2 tariff zones in Moscow:

Zone A – Moscow within the Moscow Ring Road and the Novomoskovsky administrative district.

Zone B – Troitsky, Zelenograd administrative districts.

There is also a separate transition section between zones A and B. The transition section is necessary so that passengers traveling short distances within 20 km from the border between zones in different directions can also use cheaper tickets.

Many students receive their education away from their home. To see your family, you have to travel quite a distance, so discounts on train tickets are especially in demand. However, such financial support is provided only during the academic year. Let's look at how much students and schoolchildren can buy a train ticket for, as well as what is needed to receive the benefit.

Is there a discount for students on train tickets?

Students of Russian universities can buy a train ticket with a 25% discount. They can also take advantage of discounts on public rail travel in suburban services. A train ticket for full-time students and graduate students of educational institutions of higher and secondary vocational education will cost half price - 50% of the current tariff in the period from September 1 to June 15.

Students can buy a train ticket for an electric train with a 50% discount, and for long-distance trains running across Russia - with a 25% discount.

Russian Railways: discounts for students in 2018 under the bonus program

Full-time undergraduate and graduate students at universities across the country can take advantage of the loyalty program and purchase a train ticket using a simplified scheme. A discount on train tickets is provided to students for travel in compartment cars of long-distance trains of JSC FPC.

University students aged 16 to 25 can take advantage of a 25% discount. To apply for a benefit, you must send a request for assignment of the “Student” status and a scanned copy of a certificate on the letterhead of the educational institution confirming the fact of study. The request is sent through the feedback form in your personal account on the website of the Russian Railways Bonus program - there is now no need to contact the trade union committee of the university. However, the carrier has the right to verify the authenticity of the certificate.

A ticket with a student discount can only be issued in the name of the bonus card owner.

Are there discounts for schoolchildren on train tickets?

Yes, schoolchildren and students of general education institutions in Russia are provided with a 50% discount on train tickets. It is provided to children from 10 to 18 years of age for travel in general and reserved seat carriages, as well as in carriages with seats on fast and long-distance passenger trains in domestic traffic and commuter trains.

When traveling in general, reserved seat carriages and carriages with seats on branded fast and branded passenger trains, 50% of the fare on a regular fast or passenger train and the difference between the cost of travel on a branded fast or branded passenger train and the cost of travel on a regular fast or passenger train are paid. train.

The period for providing benefits to schoolchildren is from January 1 to May 31, from September 1 to December 31. In summer, the full cost of the ticket is paid.

You can buy an electronic ticket at a reduced rate on the website for a child whose age does not exceed 18 years at the time of train departure. For passengers over 18 years of age, travel documents are issued at the ticket office. Special fares are also provided for travel by organized groups of schoolchildren.

To buy a train ticket at a discount, you need a certificate from an educational institution. If it is absent, you will not be allowed to board the train. Discounts for schoolchildren on train tickets are not provided for travel on high-speed and high-speed trains numbered 701-788.

A certificate from a full-time student or pupil must be presented when boarding the train - the ticket can be purchased without it.

If you are a student, then you must have a student ID. This is not just a useless plastic card that is meaninglessly stored in a wallet or backpack for five long years, it is a so-called “pass ticket” to a bright and rich life, which opens up unrealistic opportunities for every student of a higher educational institution. The prospects are, to put it mildly, bright and inspiring!

However, before talking about possible benefits, it is necessary to recall that all university students, both state employees and contract employees, have the right to receive a student card.

This is the main document of every student, the loss of which is fraught with extremely undesirable consequences, in particular, a temporary lack of benefits while waiting for a new one.

So it’s best not to throw this “plastic card” around, but to always keep it ready – you never know how it will come in handy more than once!

During my student days, I actively used my “student card”, and only thanks to it I went to the cinema every week to watch premieres at a good discount, often attended football matches, traveled around the country, and many other places I visited.

It is precisely about all the unlimited possibilities of a student card that I want to talk in more detail, so that the student does not perceive this “card” as the same record book, but takes it out, at best, once every six months.

Student ID and trade union

As practice shows, a student ID and a trade union are inseparable concepts, and in the life of every student they pleasantly complement each other. For example, all trade union organizations offer a huge selection of vouchers, trips, fun parties, cultural and social events, which will be half the price to attend with a student ticket discount.

This is where the need for this important document arises, since in order to receive a discount you will need to present it in person.

And it is desirable that the person depicted on the student ID corresponds to a real person, since the use and misappropriation of other people's documents is dangerous and prosecuted. At best, they simply won’t let you through, and at worst, they will send you to the dean’s office for questioning.

Discounts as a way of daily existence

If you think about it this way, then the student never has enough scholarships, and a week before receiving it, loans or complete savings with a hunger strike begin. This fate can be avoided if you spend your money wisely and not squander it left and right.

However, it is worth clarifying here that a student never has enough money, but he can still save money with a student card.

If there is an opportunity to take advantage of such a benefit, then why ignore it and just overpay? Not worth it, but for this you will need the following useful information:

1. If a student travels around the city on public transport, he can safely count on a discount on his student card. For trolleybus and metro, you should definitely buy a ticket with a 50% discount, and then use it in unlimited quantities throughout the current month.

2. The student discount also applies to railway transport, and a ticket for a reserved seat carriage will cost 50% less. As for traveling in a compartment, the savings in this case amount to an average of 25% of the full ticket price. It is important to separately note here that international transportation has slightly different benefits, which it is advisable to familiarize yourself with before ordering tickets and on an individual basis.

3. In the student canteen you can order a set lunch at a discount, and do this every day. Such money savings are also beneficial, especially if the student lives in a student dormitory and is significantly limited in his financial capabilities.

4. Vacations can also be discounted, but for this you need to have a list of those places that are covered by your student card.

So now it is quite obvious that you can live peacefully on a scholarship, and student life will not seem dull and dull. You can get all the same joys and fun in sufficient quantities, but at a favorable student discount. Where can you visit?

Active recreation with a student card

There is an opinion that during your student life you need to visit the whole world. Of course, you won’t be able to spend much money on a scholarship, and you’re unlikely to think so globally; but you’ll still think about the journey, even if it’s a short one. So, where can you go with this discount, and what types of holidays does it apply to?

The choice is determined by the trade union, since only it knows where the student can relax during the next vacation. So, each student can use his student card to contact the trade union committee or his trade union representative so that he can tell him exactly what vouchers are available. And from this knowledge you can make your choice.

As a rule, these are tourist bases where there is a lot of snow in winter and sea in summer. The student discount when paying is 25–50%, and the trade union committee will definitely give you more accurate figures.

It all depends on the remoteness of the final destination, the performance of a particular student, his services to his home university and, of course, social security. In any case, it turns out to be very profitable, and the vacation will be remembered for a long time.

By the way, it is important to remember here that travel with a student card to the final destination and back is also paid according to a preferential system, that is, it is beneficial in all respects. But such an economical vacation will definitely be remembered for a long time and leave in your memory the warmest memories of a cheerful and carefree student life.

Preferential health improvement at the university

Studying is the same work that is exhausting and noticeably spoils the mood, especially during the regular session. That is why, after a tense but successful completion, it is recommended to rest at least a little; and it’s best to do this not within the four walls of a dull and boring apartment, but simply to change the environment.

Here again, the trade union comes to the rescue in this matter, providing all students of state employees and contract workers with preferential vouchers to sanatoriums and health centers.

In such medical and health institutions, the student is provided with a bed, four meals a day, health procedures and proper rest for 24 days. You can get here at any time of the year, but it will be more fun during the next holidays, when the “burden of the upcoming session” is no longer on your soul.

More detailed information must be found out in the trade union of the university itself, but, as a rule, up to 20% of the final cost of the trip is paid by the student himself, and the rest is paid by the well-known Social Security Fund.

Today, almost every region of Russia has a medical and preventive base, and every full-time student can count on a voucher. So no one will be left without rest; the main thing is to book a trip in a timely manner so that places at the desired resort do not unexpectedly run out and, thereby, spoil the mood.

Very often, a dispensary is organized at the universities themselves, and the student who has purchased a voucher is given coupons for free meals in the student canteen and procedures at the local clinic. This is also very convenient and profitable: to study and improve your health at the same time.

Preferential cultural trip as a student

In addition to economical travel, food and health benefits, a student can use his student card in another direction. For example, you can have fun and have fun during the educational process, and for this, using discounted tickets from the same trade union, you can visit museums, theaters, exhibitions, public performances, tastings, concerts, parties and corporate events, finally.

Such an entertainment program is especially appropriate on weekends and holidays, since it does not distract from study and makes life more varied. It is advisable to check the plan of events and the number of tickets with your trade unionists, since they are the ones appointed to keep the team informed of all trade union affairs. Students must understand where their union dues go.

As practice shows, the trade union diligently fulfills its obligations to each student, and remaining a member is beneficial and promising for everyone. By the way, if necessary, the trade union will take care of the scholarship, and will also honestly tell you what the discount is for if you are a student.

If you use this knowledge correctly, then all five years of study at a higher educational institution will fly by in one breath, with a lot of memories and an intangible economy option.

Conclusion: Having carefully examined all the subtleties and pitfalls of the question: “What is there a discount for if you are a student,” we can safely conclude that a student’s card is a ticket to life, and to a bright and cheap one at that. As a student, you can travel around the world and gain positive impressions for the rest of your life.

On the pages of an informative and capacious website, the site describes in detail all the existing alternatives that appear before any full-time student with a student card. So the whole world is at his feet, but you need to listen to what the trade union leader says and make your final choice!

Now you know, what is the discount if you are a student.
