Dad, mom, and I are a reading family.

Quiz for children and parents.

On the central wall there is a panel in the form of an open book, on the pages of which proverbs are written.

A book is your best friend.

A book is like water - it will make its way everywhere.

Gold comes from the earth, and knowledge comes from books.

You read a book and fly on wings.

The book decorates in happiness, and consoles in misfortune.

The spoken word has existed and no, but the written word lives forever.

An illiterate person is like a blind person, but a book opens his eyes.

Families participating in the quiz sat at the tables.

Leading. Good evening, dear guests! Thank you for taking the time to come to this meeting. Today we will talk about the book, its value for every person.

Dad and child approach the presenter. Read the poem “Poor Dad” by Alexander Kushner:

We read books together

With dad every weekend.

I have two hundred pictures,

And dad has none.

I have elephants, giraffes -

Every single one of the animals. –

And bison and boas,

And dad has no one!

For me - in the wild desert

A lion's footprint is drawn.

I'm sorry dad. Well what a book

If there are no pictures in it!

Leading. Undoubtedly, books play a very important role in raising children. Also A.M. Gorky wrote: “I probably won’t be able to convey quite vividly and convincingly how great my amazement was when I felt that almost every book seemed to open a window into a new unknown world for me.” These words of the writer accurately reflect the desires of all adults to choose such books for our kids, so that they serve as an open window into all the children's “whys”. After all, there are tens of thousands of these “whys”!

Why doesn't the moon fall to the earth?

Why are the leaves green?

Why was the polar bear included in the Red Book?

Why don't adults play with toys?

Where is the echo hiding?

Why does the Christmas tree have green needles?

Who made holes in the bread?

And we find answers to all questions in books.

Today we will participate in many interesting competitions.

A competition is being held: “Who was here and forgot what?” The presenter shows the pictures one by one: the participants name the heroes of the works and the name of the book - a bed, there is a turnip on it, traces of the heroes are visible on the bed ("Turnip"); an ice hole with a wolf's tail sticking out of it (“Sister Fox and Gray Wolf”); the houses of the three little pigs are depicted: straw, brushwood, stone (“The Three Little Pigs”), etc.

The host gives chips to those who answered correctly faster than others.

Leading. You are about to meet a mysterious guest. A riddle will help you find out:

Oh! Oh! Oh!

There's such a commotion here!

Everyone is running, rushing, jumping,

They shout to them: “Where, where?”

Well, someone is crying loudly

Out of frustration and shame.

But everything ends well.

Everything returns to its place.

Everyone forgives the guilty party.

They serve sweet tea...

(Fedora // K. Chukovsky. Fedorino grief)

There is a knock and Fedora enters.

Fedora. Hello children, hello guests! I already understood what sloppiness and laziness lead to. Now I wash the dishes very cleanly, and no one gets offended at me. Look at me: I’m not a mess, but a clean and tidy old lady. I know that you like to solve riddles. Guess my fairy tale riddles too. (Takes out books and asks riddles for each of them.)

I hold it in my hands.

There were many guests there.

But on these name days

Suddenly a villain appeared.

He wanted to kill the owner

Almost killed her

But to the insidious villain

Someone cut off the head.

(K. Chukovsky. Cluttering fly)

I didn’t tremble before the wolf,

Ran away from the bear

And the fox's teeth

Still got caught... (Kolobok).

An arrow flew

And she fell into a swamp.

And in this swamp

Someone caught her.

Who said goodbye

and pretty?

(Princess Frog.)

The apple tree helped us

The stove helped us

Good help

Blue River.

Everyone helped us

Everyone sheltered us

To mother and father

We got home.

Who took my brother away?

Name the book.

("Swan geese").

Fedora. I see that you love fairy tales very much, so you guessed all the riddles correctly. Well done! But it’s time for me to say goodbye to you, I really want to be in time for the cleanliness competition for the kids. (Leaves.)

The presenter offers the following competition “Make no mistake!” Illustrations by artists Y. Vasnetsov, E. Charushin, E. Rachev were prepared for it. The participants of the game (families) select illustrations of some artist and name the works.

Leading. You answered all the questions very well. Now let’s count the chips and determine the winners. There is a magic ball hidden in our hall. Our victors must find him.

Competitors find a magic ball. The presenter opens it and reads the task to the winning families: stage a mini-play in 5-7 minutes based on any children's works of your choice. The competition participants go to the room where the attributes for the performances are prepared.

The presenter announces a competition for the best reading of tongue twisters and tongue twisters. At the end of the competition, families show prepared dramatizations.

You must come up with and write in a column nouns consisting of five letters, where the third, end-to-end letter will be the letter “n”, for example, “sledge”, “semolina”, “race”, etc. The family that wins the competition name more words.

Relevance.

Epigraph: . (A. Chekhov)

"People stop thinking when they stop reading" . These words were spoken by the great French thinker Denis Diderot many years ago. They are still relevant now, since solving the problem of instilling children’s interest in reading solves a number of educational, educational and developmental tasks of teaching and upbringing.

Until recently, the value of books and reading was undeniable in our country. In the 1970-80s, a myth arose about Russia as the most reading country in the world. The high prestige of reading in society, and especially "serious" literature, collecting, creating your own home libraries - all this promoted reading and really reinforced our ideas about ourselves as a reading country. But today the picture of mass reading, its prestige, reading preferences and habits have changed significantly.

In modern teaching of reading, a separate and very acute problem is the problem of family reading. Social life has changed dramatically in such a way that the widespread use of television, video technology, and computers has relegated books to the background. A mother reading aloud to all the children in the family has become a rare occurrence these days. Russian pedagogy has always taken care of children's reading at home. So, in the 19th century, special publications were even published for reading and conversations with the family.

A negative factor in the formation of a child reader is the loss of family reading traditions. It must be emphasized that reading plays a special role in a family environment. Reading a book together and communicating about what you read brings family members closer and unites them spiritually. Meanwhile, at the present stage of social development, in most families the book ceases to be a topic of conversation, and home libraries are disappearing. This situation has an extremely negative impact on the spiritual climate of the family and does not contribute to the formation of a child reader. Parents who don't read raise children who don't read. Consequently, today the revival, further development and bringing to a new level the traditions of family reading as a cultural norm for child development is one of the most important tasks of society. Family reading is the main way to widely introduce children to the world of books.

Introductory part.

The process of communication between a preschool child and a book is the process of developing his personality. The most important role of books in the formation of a person was discussed back in the time of Yaroslav the Wise. A book should enter a child’s world as early as possible, enrich this world, make it interesting, full of extraordinary discoveries. A child should love a book and reach for it.

But, as you know, modern children increasingly spend their time playing computer games, watching TV shows and reading books less and less.

In conditions when entire electronic libraries are being created, it is difficult to force a child to pick up a book, especially a preschool child, since he is a kind of reader. Word "reader" relative to preschool age conditionally. In reality, it is the listener whose encounter with the book is entirely determined by the adult, from the choice of text to read to the duration of the interaction with the book. Taste, interest in a work, its interpretation, the ability to navigate the circle of children's reading, the creation of a reading system - all this is in the power of an adult. It largely depends on the adult whether the child will become a real, enthusiastic reader, or whether a meeting with a book in preschool will be a random, meaningless episode in his life.

Home reading enriches children and their parents with knowledge about family, purity of relationships, obedience, conscience, good and evil, but also brings together all family members, blood relatives, close people of different generations and different life experiences. Nowadays, the younger generation knows little about the lives of their fathers and grandfathers. And the point here is not a lack of time or living separately, but the fragility of connections between representatives of different generations within the family. Family reading helps to establish closer communication between people of different generations, and the main thing for a child is to gain joy from communicating with adults.

In the modern world there are many opportunities for comprehensive personal development. However, scientists are sounding the alarm: children are losing the ability to think, to think logically. Increasingly, television and computers are replacing books. Reading turns into a boring academic subject when children read only programmatic works. How can I return the book to my children? To raise an active reader in a child.

Progress of the meeting.

Introductory part.

Good evening, dear children and parents! We are glad to meet you. Today we have gathered with you to talk about fiction and home reading to children.

The book teaches good understanding,

Talk about people's actions.

If he is bad, then condemn him,

Well, the weak need to protect him!

Children learn to think, dream,

Get answers to your questions.

Every time they learn something

They get to know the world around them.

Our time is a time of great achievements in science and technology, a time of wonderful discoveries. But of all the miracles created by man, Maxim Gorky considered the book the most complex and great. The book contains the vast spiritual world of humanity. “I probably won’t be able to convey vividly and convincingly enough how great my amazement was when I felt that almost every book seemed to open a window into a new unknown world for me.” . These words of the writer accurately reflect the desire of all adults to choose books for children that would answer all their "Why" .

Visionary parents always strive to ensure that their children have their own books and that there are many such books. They read aloud to the kids, and they listen intently... However, this picture of life is somewhat idealized. Today, for many children, no one reads anything at all; some are read occasionally in the evenings or on weekends. And without the help of adults, a child cannot enter the wonderful world of books. Children who received "book vaccination" in early childhood, they are incomparably better prepared for school. They know how to listen, focus on a specific activity, and speak well.

Expressive reading of poetry by group children.

Reading mother.

It all starts with the family, sometime in early childhood.

My reading mother opened the door to the book world for me.

Poems in the morning, a story at lunchtime, and a miracle fairy tale at night.

And every time our house was filled with warmth and affection.

I could sit on her lap for hours.

I am grateful to my mother for this reading together.

She gave me love, hugging me with her arms...

I remember that magical sound filled with peace.

And in a round dance of black letters, a world of heroes was born.

He stirred our souls with the plots of stories

And we laughed heartily and cried with grief...

And it was clear: you want to become successful and great -

And this memory of childhood lives stubbornly in me,

After all, my mother gave me my library card.

Teacher's speech.

“Reading is the window through which children see and learn about the world and themselves.” .

Not only in kindergarten, but also at home, in the family, we need to teach children to love books. There are probably no parents who would not like to teach their children to read quickly and expressively, and to instill an interest in reading, because the role of books in a person’s life is enormous.

A good book is an educator, a teacher, and a friend. It is not for nothing that great people have always called for reading. Epigraph of our meeting, words belonging to Anton Pavlovich Chekhov: “To educate, you need continuous day and night work, eternal reading.” .

Children's literature is art and “reading to children any work of art should be subordinated to the goals of... aesthetic education” .

It is difficult to overestimate the importance of literature for the development of a child. It helps to expand the horizon of children's knowledge about the world, helps the child to assimilate patterns of behavior embodied in certain literary characters, and forms initial ideas about beauty. However, in our modern, computerized rhythm of life, we simply forget about artistic values and traditions. Our children are less and less interested in the classics; they forget, and sometimes simply do not know, Russian folk tales, the famous fairy tales of foreign writers, on which more than one generation has grown up, including you and me. Their favorite heroes today are Barbie, Batman, robots, Winx and who knows who. And this is very sad: after all, in our fairy tales, heroes not only help in some way, they teach us to live, make friends, be kind, sympathetic, are not afraid of difficulties and always move forward towards our goal. Living the life of the heroes, the child absorbs and appropriates their spiritual experience, and this experience becomes his own, personal, and begins to influence his actions and actions.

The main task of introducing preschoolers to fiction is to cultivate interest and love for the book, the desire to communicate with it, the ability to listen and understand a literary text, that is, everything that forms the basis, the foundation for the education of a future adult talented reader, a literary educated person. Familiarization with fiction in kindergarten is carried out daily, this area includes reading, discussion and learning.

According to many psychologists (O. Nikiforova, L. Vygotsky) it is the preschool period that is considered as the first stage in the literary development of the future "big, talented" reader. But we must remember that this work needs to be done at home - this is family reading of books, conversations on the content, sketches of favorite stories, memorization of poems. Today, when our children are just learning the basics of fiction, it is necessary to help them fall in love with books. During this period, it is especially important to discuss what you have read with your child and solve problem situations together. And how your child needs your help when choosing a book and home! We, adults, should not forget about this.

The main methods of literary development for 6-year-old children are:

  • reading (story) adult. With his sincere interest, expressiveness of speech, skillful use of voice and facial expressions, an adult can captivate children, help them listen to the work with concentration, and provoke them to further discuss it.
  • the subsequent conversation helps to deepen the children’s perception of the literary text and formulate in speech their attitude to what they heard. To do this, different groups of questions are included in the conversation.
  • looking at illustrations. Examining book illustrations with children has several goals: they will orient children in the sequential connection of events, remind them of the content of the text in the process of retelling it, help imagine the characters and some circumstances important for understanding the work

Theatrical games: dramatization games and games with figures of different types of tabletop, bench and puppet theaters provide children with practice in various types of artistic speech and theatrical play activities based on the texts of familiar literary works.

To create conditions for the child’s cognitive activity, to stimulate it, to guide his thoughts - this is the main task of parents, which also determines their leading role in organizing family readings. In the process of family readings, both psychological and social functions of communication are realized. Its participants not only come into contact with each other and identify themselves with each other, but their spiritual world also includes socially significant moral ideas, the source of which is the phenomena of life reflected in works of literature. The main character in this communication is the child. Parents should only guide his cognitive activity and encourage him to think.

Read books with your child, look at pictures, find funny inconsistencies, ask questions. We hope that the instructions we have prepared will help you overcome the difficulties that arise in your child’s work with a book. And remember, books are our friends and faithful helpers. We, children and adults, love books. It helps us get to know and understand each other better, helping to ensure that for adults, the memory of childhood, where we all come from, enlightens and elevates, and for children, the path to adulthood is not so thorny. Childhood inevitably leaves us, but books remain with us forever.

Educator.

And now I want to give the floor to our educational psychologist.

Educational psychologist.

Undoubtedly, books play a very important role in raising children. Maxim Gorky also wrote: “I probably won’t be able to convey vividly and convincingly enough how great my amazement was when I felt that almost every book seemed to open a window into a new unknown world for me.” . These words of the writer accurately reflect the desires of all adults to choose such books for our kids, so that they serve as an open window into all children's "Why" . After all, these "Why" tens of thousands!

Why doesn't the moon fall to the earth?

Why are the leaves green?

Why was the polar bear included in the Red Book?

Where is the echo hiding? etc.

And we find answers to all questions in books.

Let's imagine, at least for a moment,

That suddenly we lost magazines and books,

That people don't know what a poet means,

That there is no Cheburashka, no Hottabych.

It's as if no one has ever been in this world,

And I had never heard of Moidodyr,

That there is no Dunno, a liar, a klutz,

That there is no Aibolit, and no Uncle Styopa.

It’s probably impossible to imagine something like this?

So hello, smart, kind word!

Let books and friends come into your home!

Read for the rest of your life - gain your mind!

(Yu. Entin)

And now I propose to conduct a quick survey.

Blitz survey for parents.

1. What does your child most often prefer?

b) listen to adults reading.

2. What do you do when your child looks at you with interest? (is reading) a book?

a) praise him;

b) don't say anything?

4. Can you name a book you recently reviewed? (read) your child?

a) definitely yes;

b) probably not.

What did we get as a result? The quick survey pointed to another alarming fact - only a third of the parents present practice family reading aloud at home. But only 50-60% of parents were able to name a book that their child had recently read. It’s great that our children are interested in books and read. So let's support this flame with praise, and not scold for the quality of reading.

Read books with your child one at a time, look at pictures, find funny inconsistencies, ask questions. Remember that reading is the basis of all learning in school. We hope that the instructions we have prepared will help you overcome the difficulties that arise in your child’s work with a book.

  1. Under no circumstances should a child be forced to do anything, even with good intentions.
  2. Do not panic yourself and calm the child. You can't put pressure on a child!
  3. After reading, do not rush to examine it.
  4. Listen carefully and friendly to the child.
  5. At the first successes, do not spare praise.
  6. Don't rush to brag about your child's successes to others.

Memo for parents.

  1. Read aloud with your child at least 10-15 minutes a day (can be fractional)
  2. Before reading, remove distracting objects from the table and ventilate the room.
  3. If the child is tired, do some physical education.
  4. While reading a book, find out the meaning of difficult words and look at the illustrations.
  5. Talk about what you read, what the book teaches (story, fairy tale) What new did the child learn?
  6. Invite your child to draw a picture for the most interesting passage from the book or learn it by heart.

Questions for discussion.

  1. We are accustomed to blaming civilization and technological progress for the fact that people, not only children, but also adults, began to read less, that many temptations appeared in addition to books in the form of TV, video, DVD, and computer. Without leaving home, you can get the full portion of pleasure and entertainment. Do these amazing discoveries really distract a person from the book, or is one unrelated to the other?
  2. Is bargaining appropriate between parents and child? “You haven’t read the book, so there won’t be a computer or TV.” . How justified and effective is such a technique?
  3. Is it important to read aloud with children?
  4. Is all literature useful? Need to "slip" or take away a book?
  5. What commandment of communicating with a book must be observed?

Answers to the discussion.

  1. The point is not really about computers, but about the fact that in reality our life is moving faster now. And, perhaps, no one has time for anything, including children, there is less and less time left. Moreover, many parents are happy to fill their children’s time with something else. It’s good if these are sections, clubs, various studios.
  2. By saying this to a child, we are changing places of the book, which becomes "obligation" , and TV, which becomes entertainment, a gift for doing something. And little by little we put into the child’s mind that a book is something so tedious and obligatory, like washing dishes, and everything else: a computer, a TV is something that he will be rewarded with when he finishes reading or tells the contents of the book to end.

Contemporary writer Pinka advises: “Share what you love. Share what is most precious. If you love a book, share your joy, your love. How to share? Read aloud to children. And most importantly, don’t ask them for anything in return. Because the love of a book cannot be a subject of trade.

3. Important. It is believed that among the needs of life, a person has a need to listen to stories. Parents, reading aloud, tell these stories, satisfying the vital human need for them. Then, when the child grows up, he will find these same stories in books.

4. No one will give a definite answer. However, parents must shape the taste of their child and educate him. And everyone chooses their own methods. If your son eats only pies and pizza, will you take some measures? Will you influence the formation of taste? I think it's much the same with books.

5. You must love to read. If we ourselves love to read, then the child reads. If mom watches a video, and dad plays on the computer, and the child should be reading books at the same time, of course, this will not happen. Modern life, like any other, requires attention to the child. No matter how much we water and plant in this soil, we will get exactly the same seedlings. And there are no miracles here. And if books are not read in the house, then neither will the child. And without the help of adults, a child cannot enter the wonderful world of books. Children who receive the “book immunization” in early childhood are better prepared for school.

Our conversation turned out to be interesting and constructive. I would like to believe that, thanks to this conversation, the problem is pressing all over the world "unreading" children in your family will turn out to be at least a little irrelevant.

Kozlovka village

Goals and objectives:

1. contribute to the formation of interest in family reading among quiz participants.

2. Foster a love of reading and books.

Participants: teams from grades 5,6,7,8.

Librarian: undoubtedly, books play a very important role in the education of the younger generation. Even A. M. Gorky wrote “I probably won’t be able to convey quite vividly and convincingly how great my amazement was when I felt that almost every book seemed to open a window into a new unknown world for me.” These words of the writer accurately reflect the desire of all adults to choose such books so that they would open up a wonderful, joyful world for children and would answer all the children’s “whys.”

It is in the family that the child’s personality is nurtured. And you can’t do without reading here. The role of the family in shaping attitudes towards books and reading is extremely important. If reading is part of the lifestyle of adult family members, the child picks up and absorbs it. The impressions received in one’s own family remain on a certain scale for comparison, for evaluation for life and are realized in one’s own family. It is always pleasant to talk with a well-read person, because in his speech he uses quotes from various works.

Today we will conduct a quiz “Mom, Dad, I am a reading family.”

How did the word "family" come about?

But Adam said to Eve before the wedding:

Now I will ask you 7 questions:

Who will give birth to children for me, my goddess?

And Eva quietly answered “I”

Who sews the dress, washes the linen,

Will he caress me and decorate my home?

Answer the question, my friend?

- “I, I, I” - Eve said “I.”

She said the famous seven "I"

And so a family appeared on earth.

"Family holiday "Dad, Mom and I - a reading family""

Topic: "Mom, Dad, I am a reading family"

It is in the family that the child’s personality is nurtured. And you can’t do without reading here. The role of the family in shaping attitudes towards books and reading is extremely important. If reading is part of the lifestyle of adult family members, the child picks up and absorbs it. The impressions received in one’s own family remain on a certain scale for comparison, for evaluation for life and are realized in one’s own family.

Tasks:

    study the reading situation in families, the range of children's reading;

    expand social partnership, attract children and parents to reading;

    develop creative abilities;

    provide informational assistance to the family;

    identify the most reading family.

Form of event: family holiday.

Leading: Good evening, dear guests! Thank you for taking the time to come to this meeting. Today we will talk about the book, its value for every person, and also get acquainted with the most reading families of our school.

A boy comes out and reads a poem:

When my mother reads a book to me,
It’s not at all what I read to myself.
Although I know the letters perfectly well,
And I’ve already read “Aibolit” myself.
But if mom sits next to her with a book,
This book is so interesting to listen to!

Who is not afraid of evil pirates,
That’s just me!
Or I go on patrol at the border,
Or in a rocket heading towards the Sun,
And the fearless astronaut is me too.

Today I feel like I'm going to become a bird
And I’ll save poor Thumbelina!

Undoubtedly, books play a very important role in raising children. Also A.M. Gorky wrote: “I probably won’t be able to convey quite vividly and convincingly how great my amazement was when I felt that almost every book seemed to open a window into a new unknown world for me.” These words of the writer accurately reflect the desire of all adults to choose such books so that they open up a wonderful, joyful world for children and answer all the children’s “whys.” Fans won’t be bored today either, because a variety of tasks have been prepared for them. You undoubtedly have a lot of urgent worries and affairs, but leave your endless worries and affairs outside the door of this class and, together with your children, try to relax today. So we begin our holiday
Now let's get to know our participating families.

Each team introduces its family. (Name, motto)

And now first competition.
People have come up with a lot of proverbs about books and reading. Remember and name them as many as possible.
