The university has the highest rates of admission of applicants - 98% of applications are approved, of which 44% come from foreign students. But there is another side to the coin: as students note, after graduation they do not receive enough support from the university, help in finding a job or connections with other graduates.

The university ranks second in terms of overall satisfaction, 90% of students are satisfied with the teaching staff, and 86% are satisfied with the student body. The university approves only 9% of all incoming applications and is among the top three in terms of price and quality ratio. With all this, the university can hardly boast of international regalia and recognition - it has very few of them.

Polimoda is one of the most famous schools in Italy and the world for fashion design and marketing. 87% of students surveyed are absolutely satisfied with the learning conditions on campus, but, as in many other institutions, one of the disadvantages is insufficient support in finding a job after graduation. The design program has been taught at the university for nearly seven decades. The main goal of the program is to prepare students to continue their education in the A-Level British high school program. At the end of the program, students take exams in 6-10 subjects and receive an international certificate of incomplete secondary education.

When entering a foreign university, the international GCSE certificate eliminates the need for Russian students to take exams to obtain an IELTS or TOEFL language certificate.

The program provides all the key knowledge in core subjects that will be necessary for successful completion of the A-Level program. For each GCSE subject, students take from one to three exams.

A-Level

A full-fledged Advanced Level British high school program, equivalent to grades 10-11 in a Russian school.

The main goal of the program is to prepare students for direct admission to an English-language undergraduate degree at a foreign university, including the best universities in the world.

At the end of the program, students take exams in 3 selected subjects. The choice of subject depends on the requirements of a particular university and the student’s future specialization. Exams are taken in person.

At RBS "Algorithm", A-level exams are possible 3 times a year: in October, January and May-June. The number of exams that must be taken depends on the subject being studied and ranges from four to six. Not only school students, but also external candidates can take the exams.

1. European Institute of Design

European countries

Covers Italy, Spain and Brazil with offices in Rome, Milan, Florence, Turin, Venice, Cagliari, Barcelona, ​​Madrid and Sao Paolo. It trains specialists in many disciplines, including interior design and design of public spaces, and is intended not only for beginners, but also for professionals. The course focuses on developing projects from A to Z.

How to proceed

Collect the necessary documents (depending on the faculty and country) and set a date for the preliminary interview on the website.

Price

Depends on the city, duration of the course, specialization and varies from 4,000 to 17,000 euros.

Italian, Spanish or English. Greater choice: for example, the same course on interior design in Milan is taught in English, and in Rome - in Italian.

While studying, you must rent housing yourself, but in some cities there are programs that help students find inexpensive apartments for rent.

2. Design Academy Eindhoven

Netherlands

Renowned for its in-depth approach to learning, each course is supervised by a renowned practicing designer. Prepares masters in the following specialties: contextual design, social design and information design.

How to proceed

The initial selection is based on an application letter and a submitted portfolio, which must be sent by April 1st. If the first selection is passed, it will be followed by a call for an interview. The procedure can be shortened if you personally take the portfolio to the academy itself.

Price

Deposit 500 euros before the interview, total cost 13,000 euros per year of study + about 100 euros as a one-time fee for the entire course.

English TOEFL 550, or IELTS 7, or Cambridge Exam-Proficiency level.

3. National Academy of Arts Bergen

Norway

The Bergen National Academy of Arts was opened in 1772 on the model of the Copenhagen Academy and today remains one of two specialized universities in Norway that train masters in the following specialties: interior design, furniture design, interior architecture.

How to proceed

The application form, motivation letter, copy of the passport and portfolio must be sent before February 17. In order to apply for an MA, you need to have at least 180 points in your bachelor's degree.

Cost of education

Great news - training is free. The cost of living ranges from 10,000 euros per year.

English at TOEFL 61 level, IELTS 5.0, knowledge of Norwegian is desirable for seminars.

Peculiarities

Scholarship for three students from Central and Eastern Europe, selected by a committee. No additional documents are required to receive a scholarship.

4. National School of Decorative Arts

Paris, France

In many respects it focuses on applied disciplines. Among the courses in graphic design and multimedia, printing techniques, industrial design and textiles, there is also interior design.

How to proceed

A passport with a valid visa, application, portfolio and pre-interview fee are required. The deadline for submitting documents is February 7; entrance exams usually take place in the spring.

Price

From 600 to 1200 euros per year.

French at TCF certificate level is required.

5. Saint Martins College of Art and Design

London, Great Britain

Covers almost all possible specialties and is considered one of the largest in Europe specializing in art and design. To enroll, you do not have to go to London; admission documents can be submitted at the representative office in Moscow.

How to proceed

There are no application deadlines for students applying through international representatives or directly to one of the colleges. However, as places on many courses fill up quickly, it is best to apply as early as possible.

Most courses require a portfolio along with the application; in order to properly prepare it, it makes sense to take a consultation or enroll in a portfolio course at one of the colleges.

From £13,000 per year, depending on rate.

English level IELTS 6.5, there are a variety of daytime and evening language courses that prepare international students.

The college has 11 halls of residence in different parts of London. For non-residents in Europe, the college guarantees a dormitory in the first year of study, of course, provided that the application is submitted on time.
