Video recording
Press and hold the On/Off button to turn on the Q5 mini camcorder.
By default, the camcorder will immediately turn on in video recording mode, the red and blue indicators will light up, and then the blue indicator will turn off, and the red indicator will remain lit.
Briefly press the On/Off button again to start recording video, and the red indicator will blink slowly. Every 10 minutes the mini video camera will automatically save video.
To stop recording, press the On/Off button again, and the red indicator will stop blinking. If the red and blue indicators are constantly blinking, it means that the memory card is missing or cannot be read.
Photographing
While in video mode, press the Mode button to enter photo mode, the blue indicator will light up. To take a photo, press the On/Off button, the blue indicator will blink - the photo has been saved.
Voice recorder mode
While in Video mode, press the Mode button of the mini video camera 2 times to enter Voice Recorder mode, while the red and blue indicators will light up simultaneously. To start recording audio, press On/Off, the blue indicator will blink and the red indicator will be lit constantly.
Motion Sensor
To activate the motion sensor of the mini video camera, while in Video mode, hold down the On/Off button for 2 seconds to enter the motion sensor mode, the red indicator will be on constantly, and the blue indicator will blink in anticipation of movement. Recording will start automatically when motion is detected in front of the Q5 mini camera lens.
Turning off the mini video camera
To turn off, press and hold the On/Off button until the camera turns off.
PC connection and charging
To transfer data to a PC and charge, connect the Protect Q5 mini camera to the USB port of the PC. The mini video camera is defined as a storage device. During charging, the blue indicator will blink; when the camera is fully charged, it will light constantly. The mini camera can also be charged using a 5 volt charger from a 220V network.
Setting the date and time
Connect the mini camera to your PC. Create a text file in the root directory of the camera named TAG.TXT (if it was not created automatically) with content like: 2014-06-30 14:51:00 .
For example, if today is June 30, 2014 and the time is 14 hours 51 minutes, then you need to create a text file TAG.TXT with the content 2014-06-30 14:51:00, save it and rewrite it in the root directory of the camera.
Webcam Mode
Briefly press the On/Off button on the one connected to the PC and the camera will be defined as a standard Webcam.
