The Avatar Mod is a multiplayer-focused combat mod for Minecraft PC which will add all types of Bending from Avatar: The Last Airbender
. The aim is to create fast-paced, team-based engagements with plenty of team tactics and RPG skills.
This mod is currently in Alpha and under active development. While many of the planned features have not been implemented yet, the mod still provides an exciting bending experience as an alternative to traditional methods of warfare.
Existing Features
The project already includes the 4 major types of bending (Water, Earth, Fire, Air), 4 sub-elements (Ice, Sand, Lightning, Combustion), along with 32+ varied abilities for you to try out. There are also configuration files and admin commands for full control over your experience.
Could you add X ?
Eventually, everything from the Avatar TV shows shall be added. Please do not suggest things like bloodbending, spiritual projection or the avatar state, as these are all planned! If you have specific ideas on how these should be implemented, feel free to join our Discord server and inform us of your ideas.
In case you want to suggest something non-canon, feel free to do so, but know that the chance of us adding it is very low.
How do I get scrolls?
Either get them in creative OR kill mobs and loot structures.
How do I get more than one element?
Currently, the only way to get more than one element is with commands.
/avatar bending add
Ex: /avatar bending add FavouriteDragon firebending
How do I set the level of an ability????
Use commands- /avatar xp
Ex: /avatar xp FavouriteDragon water_bubble lvl4_1
Levels: lvl1, lvl2, lvl3, lvl4_1, lvl4_2
IT CRASHED WHAT SHOULD I DO
First of all, if you are using a hacked/cracked client, please note that these are not supported. Using an illegal account will often cause issues. To resolve this buy an account like most of us did.

Can you support Minecraft 1.7.10?
No, unfortunately the code is changed so much between then and now that it would take too much time to manage 2 different MC versions. Minecraft 1.7.10 was released over 4 years ago! It"s time to switch to the latest Minecraft version.
Can you support Minecraft 1.10.2?
Will add-ons be supported?
In the future, but they are not a priority yet.
What are the permissions for redistribution, etc?
Basically, you can modify or redistribute as long as you credit us as the authors. However, you really should read the legal definitions . You can make money off the mod, but unless you"re using a rewards program like CurseForge"s points, it"s frowned upon, and we"d really prefer you not to. Additionally, Ad.Fly is also heavily frowned upon, as some of us (FavouriteDragon) hate adfly.
Will servers be able to use/change this mod?

Installation Guide
This mod is currently Minecraft 1.12 only, and requires Forge.
Some previous versions are for 1.11, though, so look at which version of the mod you"re downloading.
To install this mod:
1. Install Minecraft Forge if you haven"t
Under Minecraft Versions, click 1.12 (or 1.11, depending on what version of the mod you want to use).
Choose the appropriate "Download Latest"
Run the downloaded installer, selecting "Install Client". If there is an error installing Mercurius, try running the installer again.
Create a profile of Minecraft using the new Forge version
2. Go into your mods folder. If you do not have one, create a folder called "mods" inside your .minecraft folder
3. Download the latest version of Avatar Mod
4. Drag-and-drop the downloaded mod .jar into your mods folder
5. Run Minecraft using the correct Profile

airbender named Aang. Although his airbending skills were great, he had a
lot to learn before he was ready to save anyone. But from the first day
I met him, I believed Aang would save the world. And you know what? I
was right. With the help of his friends, Aang defeated Fire Lord Ozai
and ended the Hundred Year War. Zuko, Ozai"s son and our ally, became
the new Fire Lord. Together with Earth King Kuei, Aang and Zuko promised

This mod gives you the ability to bend the four elements: air
, water
, earth
and fire
. Simply choose your element, then, using our bending scrolls, harness the power of the elements! This mod also adds mobs from the world of Avatar, randomly generated and populated villages, blocks, items, and more.
Download and install Minecraft Forge version 1180 for 1.7.10.
Place the Avatar jar file in your /mods folder.

Select your element with /bending water, /bending air, /bending earth or /bending fire
You"ll then need scrolls. Scrolls can be found randomly spawned in the settlements currently in the mod. Just look around in chests - sometimes there might not be anything there, so it"s all down to luck!
Hover over a scroll to show the help message (toggle with "H" by default). Most require a right click, some need you to be sneaking before right clicking - have a play around with them to get to know all of your moves.
If you want key bindings, you need a bending satchel crafted with 5 leather and 2 diamonds.
Hold the satchel and press " i ". This will open the GUI. Place scrolls in these slots, then exit the GUI. The default keys are "Z X C V B N M , ." but you can go into Options >> Controls >> Scroll to the bottom and find Scroll 1 - Scroll 9 - then you can change the keys to anything you want.
Though gliders can be found in air temples, you can also craft them yourself. First you need Glider Wings.
Four Glider Wings and 2 Sticks make a Glider.
Finally, you can dye the white glider to make any colour.
Airbenders can use moves like Air Spring and High Jump to change their altitude, but non-benders can use them too! (Remember Northern air temple?). You"ll need Air Vents to supply hot air that you can glide with. Craft them with 4 iron, 2 redstone, a furnace, a hopper and an iron bar.
To turn it on, it needs a supply of water, lava and power from and redstone device.
When is the update coming?
We have a very small team, and though we can work hard (at times...) we
have other things to do sometimes. Don"t worry, we haven"t given up -
the update might just take a little longer than you"d like. Rest assured
that it"s because we want you to have a really cool update!
Can I play as the Avatar?
Yes, you can use /bending avatar to use all four elements. (NOTE: Only server ops and singleplayer worlds with commands enabled can use this command)
Can we go to the spirit world?
Yes and no. At the moment, there is a dimension that you can go to
called the spirit world. But you don"t need to know how to get there
because there is nothing in it. Literally nothing. It will be worked on
some day!
Is there a server that runs the mod?
A server is being worked on currently, a replica of the actual world of
Avatar, where you choose an element and live in the city of your
choice. When it is ready, we will advertise on this page - stay tuned!
Can you add metal/sand/lightning/blood bending? Can you add -insert cool move that is hard to code here-?
We have a LOT to do. We have our own to-do list, and on top of that we
get inundated with requests from fans. Though these are appreciated,
they are unlikely to be added straight away. But wait! We do want the
ideas, so don"t stop posting them. Just try not to demand them and have a
read of other peoples ideas to make sure yours hasn"t already been
posted.

You can sit on your mobs, but at the moment you can only control them (there is no flight). This will be added in the future, don"t worry.
