3. Why is the sector of specialization of the North Caucasus recreational?
farming?
Answer: Favorable natural and climatic conditions, coastal location.
4. Why does precision rather than heavy engineering prevail in the Volga region?
Answer: The Volga region does not have its own metallurgy, but there are qualified
personnel, scientific base.
5. Why are caterpillar tractors produced in Chelyabinsk?
Answer: One of the largest metallurgical plants is located here.
6. Why is there a large center of ferrous metallurgy in Lipetsk?
Answer: Lipetsk is located in the iron ore mining region - KMA.
7. There are no reserves of ore and coking coal near the city of Cherepovets. However, here
a large full-cycle metallurgical plant was built. Why?
Answer: Cherepovets is located between the Kola iron ore deposits
peninsula and Karelia and coking coals of the Pechora basin, the plant was built
on ore and coal flows (at the intersection of transport routes.)

15.

8. Why was an aluminum plant built in Volgograd?
Answer: Aluminum production is energy intensive, so it is located at the source
cheap energy - Volgograd hydroelectric power station.
9. Why are there two metallurgical plants in Moscow?
Answer: These are small metallurgy plants that use scrap metal,
consumer-oriented.
10. Why metallurgical plants of the Urals bring coal from Kuzbass, and not from Pechora
basin located closer to the Urals?
Answer: There is no railway to the Urals from the center of the Pechora Basin - Vorkuta.

2. Imagine that a new
socio-economic zoning, according to which the VolgoVyatsky district should be disbanded. Please indicate which
neighboring economic regions and why those included in
its constituent entities of the Russian Federation (Republics of Mari El, Mordovia, Chuvashia,
regions Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod).
Answer: Different parts of the VVR have similarities with the TsPR, TsChR, Ural, Volga region.
Nizhny Novgorod is located near Moscow, so it can be classified as
CPR. On the other hand, Nizhny Novgorod gravitates towards the Volga region (a port on the Volga).
The Republics of Mari El, Chuvashia, and Mordovia are members of the Greater
Volga", so they can be classified as the Volga economic region. WITH
on the other hand, Mordovia, located on the border of the steppe and forest-steppe zones,
may also apply to the Central Chernobyl Region. In terms of specialization, the Kirov region is similar to
European North.

3. The administration of one of the districts of the Vladimir region was downcast
application from V. Ivanov with a request to allocate a plot of land for maintaining
farming. In support of the request, Ivanov wrote that he
plans to grow spring wheat, corn for grain, hemp,
potatoes, sugar beets, garden strawberries for Moscow markets.
Would you allocate land to Ivanov based on this statement? Justify your
solution.
Answer: Agroclimatic conditions of most areas of the Vladimir region
will not allow the farmer to grow corn for grain and sugar beets. IN
conditions of the Russian Non-Black Earth Region to grow grain crops
It is profitable only within a large farm. The most profitable occupation
is the cultivation of hemp and potatoes. At the same time, the economy should be
focused on nearby markets. If the farmer lives in areas close to
Moscow, then growing garden strawberries will also be profitable.
However, the farmer did not indicate anything about raising livestock, and livestock farming for him
farming seems to be more profitable than farming.
