News. VGUES dormitories: comfortable life in the city center

Today mass occupancy began in VSUES campus dormitories Nos. 1 and 2 (Derzhavin St., 57 and 59) and No. 4 (Dobrovolskogo, 20). First-year students, according to tradition, in accordance with the schedule previously posted on the university website, receive the keys to their rooms first. A separate stream of foreign students arrived by plane and students from flood-affected areas of Primorye.

According to the volunteers serving this event, the first future residents of the Campus began to arrive early in the morning, but by seven in the morning a queue had already formed, and Danil Son, who arrived from Bolshoy Kamen at seven in the morning, was already 70th in the queue.

In front of the entrance to the administrative building, from early morning, arrivals were met by volunteers of the Youth Center - senior students of VSUES. Third-year volunteer Anton Makseev worked in the repair crew in the summer, so he is very familiar with the structure of the dormitories and readily agreed to accompany the new arrivals along the passages to the dormitories and along the floors to the rooms. Other volunteers regulated the flow of new arrivals at the entrance, offered drinking water, and accompanied them to the Student Office, to the ticket office, and to the cafe.

Campus director Marina Ivankevich said that by lunchtime, mainly freshmen and foreign students had submitted documents for registration, check-in was proceeding normally, on a first-come, first-served basis. The process of university services accepting their wards - foreign students from the PRC - is supervised by specialists from the Office of International and Cultural Activities and volunteers accompany the university services.

Tomorrow, according to the schedule, check-in will continue, as it did today: paperwork for check-in into the dormitories is carried out in the auditorium. No. 8204 - cafe “On the Roof” (educational building No. 8). Opening hours are from 9:00 to 18:00. For students arriving at the accommodation after 18:00, there is an accommodation service in dormitory No. 1, room No. 206, tel. 240-40-89, mobile phone. 8902506901.

There is a hotel on campus for parents and accompanying persons; room reservations can be made by phone. 245-09-06, 240-40-48.

Despite the operating hours, campus director Marina Ivankevich noted, if necessary, the reception service on VSUES campuses will work “until the last client.”

Our university provides places in comfortable dormitories for ALL full-time freshmen.

Location

The student town is located very conveniently: just 15 minutes from the center of Vladivostok. From the three nearest bus stops you can get to almost anywhere in the city with minimal time. As for studying and student life, you don’t need to go anywhere at all; everything you need is located on the campus: two dormitories, academic buildings, libraries, a sports complex, the Lotus Medical Center, a driving school, the Underground Theater, a Youth Center, a Volunteer Center, hairdresser, shops and cafes.

Where do the students live?

VSUES offers 4 dormitories: No. 1 and No. 2 are located on the campus (59 Derzhavin St.) and are connected to the academic building by passages and an escalator. No. 3 and No. 4 are located on the street. Chapaeva, 5 and st. Dobrovolskogo, 20. Rooms are offered in several types:

2 or 3 beds, bathroom and kitchen are on the floor

Sectional type - shower and toilet in a section, one for two rooms, kitchen on the floor

. “hotels” - amenities and kitchen tiles in each room.

VSUES dormitories have been repeatedly rated as the best among universities. And this is justified: all the rooms are clean and bright, there is all the necessary furniture, household appliances, wireless Internet. Household utensils do not need to be brought from home: students are supplied with everything they need - from pots and cutlery to “hangers” for clothes. By the way, each person has three sets of bed linen, a towel and a bed mat. Each dormitory offers residents a storage room, laundry and ironing room. VGUES offers various living conditions for any budget: from a standard room to a superior room.

The number of students is growing every year, so the foundation has already been laid for the construction of a dormitory for 520 places, which will also be connected by a transition to residential, educational and sports premises. A major renovation of a 400-bed dormitory on Dobrovolskogo Street, 20, on the territory of the VSUES College of Service and Design is being completed. In the near future - the construction of 2-3 more dormitories.

Dorm life

Student life is a new stage in the life of yesterday's schoolchildren, and to make the transition to adulthood easy, the first week on campus is an adaptation week: representatives of law enforcement agencies and the university security service, doctors, specialists in social issues and the organization of cultural work of the university meet with the first-year students. Students have a lot of opportunities to express themselves: sports competitions, competitions for the best floor and the best room, competitions for prefects, celebrations of the New Year, Maslenitsa, Valentine's Day and many other events make student life brighter.

Neighbours

Dormitory No. 2 is considered international, since guys live here not only from Russia, but also from China, Korea, the USA, Canada, and New Zealand. If desired, guests can be accommodated with Russian-speaking students, since sharing the same room with foreigners is good language practice and a way to better learn another culture.

Safety

Security in the hostel is ensured by a 24-hour security service, an external and internal surveillance system, and an electronic access control system. You can go through the turnstile only with a special plastic identification card - a “badge”, which is made personally for each student and serves as a pass to the dormitory, reading room, library and sports complex. In addition, there is a council of elders and a fire brigade; each floor has its own elders and educators who keep order. Students moving into the dormitory are instructed in fire and electrical safety.

How to get a place in a dormitory?

Check-in of all applicants takes place at the end of August at the address: st. Derzhavina, 57 - hostel No. 1. The list of required documents and check-in procedure can be found

What is the price

The cost of a bed in VSUES dormitories varies depending on the dormitory and the level of comfort of the rooms, but remains quite affordable. It is unrealistic to rent a room in Vladivostok that is similar in comfort to a university dormitory for such a price.

Prices and payment procedures in each specific dormitory can be found here:

Many parents are sincerely convinced that one cannot consider oneself a student without living in a dormitory. In a room where two or three people live side by side, character is strengthened and the will and independence are nurtured. Where do students live who are lucky enough to break away from parental care and come to study in another city?

VGUES dormitories are located in a convenient area, from where you can quickly get to anywhere in the city. However, the main and unique advantage of living at VSUES is that the dormitories and academic buildings form one system. In order to get from your room to the classroom, you do not need to go outside.

VSUES has four student dormitories with 2,138 beds. Parents and students have plenty to choose from: from “budget options” and luxury rooms to a student hotel with service.

Two dormitories are located on the university's student campus. Dormitory No. 1 (Derzhavin St., 57) is designed to accommodate 615 people. Dormitory No. 2 Building “A” (Derzhavina St., 57) is designed for 610 beds and building “B” (Partizansky Ave., 44) is a seven-story building with 169 beds. Dormitory No. 3 is located at st. Chapaeva, 5 (transport stop “Factory Zarya”). Among themselves, students and teachers call it a “sanatorium.” The building is located in a forested area in a closed area. As a rule, senior students live here in groups of 2-3 people. Each room has a shower with toilet, a kitchen area, dishes and other things necessary for life and study. Dormitory No. 4 is located at st. Dobrovolsky, 20 and is arranged according to the same principle. Each dormitory has laundries, ironing rooms and storage rooms.

Security at the university and in the dormitories is ensured by a video surveillance system and an electronic access system. Fire safety is under special control. In addition to a modern fire warning system, VGUES has stocked up with rescue equipment, as well as personal protective equipment.

We asked several questions that often concern our applicants to campus director Marina Ivankevich.

Marina Alexandrovna! The first question for new settlers is: how can they find you quickly? So, a first-year student approached the main campus of the university at one of the transport stops... Help him find his way...

The shortest way to dormitories No. 1 and No. 2 is from the stop "". If you are coming from the “ ” stop, pass the barrier at the entrance to the campus, further up the road, the second turn to the right, and you find yourself at the entrance to dormitories No. 1 and No. 2. Go up to the 3rd floor - the director’s office is located here student campus (room 8206), the head of the hostel No. 1 Yulia Igorevna Cherkasova (room 8204), the head of the hostel No. 2 Tatyana Dmitrievna Gaiduk (room 8207) and the passport officer (room 8204). If you arrive at the “Gogol” or “VGUES” stops, you will have to go to the main building of the university and contact any representative of the university security service so that they can guide you on how to find the campus.

- How to book a place in the VSUES dormitory in advance?

Those guys who enter the university on a contractual basis, after its conclusion and payment of tuition, can apply to the campus, to the auditorium. 8206. We will reserve a room and complete the relevant documents. Those guys who enroll on a budget basis, seeing themselves on the list of those enrolled in early August, contact me for preliminary reservations.

- Everyone is interested in the question of the cost of living in a hostel. Where can I find this information?

Information about how much a hostel costs is posted on our website http://hostel.vvsu.ru, in orders that are approved by the rector of VSUES annually in June. The cost of living consists of two parts: payment for the use of residential premises and utilities (Order on establishing fees for accommodation in VSUES dormitories for the academic year) and fees for the provision of additional household services (Order on establishing fees for additional household services in VSUES dormitories for the academic year year).

On the website you can see that depending on the chosen hostel, the type of room and the services provided, the payment for accommodation varies: from 1300 to 5500 rubles.

- What are the rules for living in dormitories and is there a curfew?

There are “Internal Rules of the VSUES student dormitory”, put into effect by order of the rector No. 100 dated 01/31/2014, which reflects general provisions and regulates the procedure for moving into the dormitory and eviction from it, the procedure for entering the student dormitory, visiting strangers, and using passes , keys, as well as the rights and obligations of persons moving into the hostel and the administration. The rules can also be found on the campus website http//hostel.vvsu.ru in the “Accommodation Rules” section.

Each resident is obliged to follow these rules - the main law of the hostel.

The “curfew” in VSUES dormitories was canceled by order of the rector No. 997 of 07/07/2014. " On amendments to the internal regulations of the student dormitory", in order to bring it into compliance with current legislation.

- Many parents worry when sending their child into adulthood that he will not be able to independently resolve issues related to his life, health, relationships with neighbors and organization of personal time.

Each dormitory has a whole staff of employees who will help the children quickly adapt to new realities. These are educators, 24-hour hostel attendants, assistant educators; you can contact them at any time and for any question. Also on each floor there are prefects - senior students who always come to the rescue and do not refuse to help. Various events are constantly held in the dormitories and at the university to help organize children’s leisure time and contribute to the organization of personal time, the development of creative abilities and unity.

- And in conclusion, I would like to ask what you need to take with you to the hostel? Are any household items provided in the hostels or do you need to bring everything with you from home?

In our dormitories, the rooms are fully furnished, there are curtains and tulle, and all bedding is provided. Ironing rooms are equipped with ironing boards and irons; the kitchens have electric stoves, microwaves, and potters with 24 liters of drinking water.

Of course, you will have to bring something with you: dishes, hangers, small basins, other items and household items and, of course, personal belongings. There is no need to take soft toys and carpets with you to the dormitory. This is prohibited in order to comply with sanitary standards and preserve the health of those children who are susceptible to allergic and asthmatic diseases. In general, take with you everything that will help you create comfort and cleanliness, feel comfortable, like at home, while being far from it.

I would also like to give advice so that you are wise about what you take with you. Do not load your rooms with unnecessary things, although in this case, we have free storage rooms in each hostel.

I would also like to address the parents of the applicants. You can always find out about your child’s accommodation, behavior and timely payment for living in the hostel from the head of the hostel and the teacher. Keep in touch with the administration of the hostel, take an interest in the life of your children not only through communication with them, but also with the administration and staff of the hostel, be aware of all matters, so that the years spent at our university remain in the children’s memory as the best, brightest, fruitful and giving a start in life.
